How funny preferences can be eh? The Grasshopper is still my fave of my vapes. There’s absolutely nothing else that can readily replace it. Having said that, it’s only stopped working for me once.
I broke down after all the positive comments yesterday and ordered the Pro. Not one truly negative comment by beta testers so far!!!
I really wanted you guys to say it’s “ok” and save myself $250CDN + whatever possible taxes are added on.
THANKS A LOT GUYS!!!! ;)
I find it really depends on the torch that you’re using. The Eagle torch that came with the SBJ is pretty damn weak and will not combust your material. When using our Creme Brule torch, you’re almost guaranteed to combust unless you learn to control your use of the carb With your finger.
If you’d like to practice what I’m trying to describe, you can probably do so by taking draws from your SBJ without any material in it. That way you can concentrate on your carb adjustment with the flame in it’s sweet spot at the intake tube vs the intensity of heat going through the air path...
It’s all in the carb. As soon as you feel heat hit your tongue, adjust the carb opening with your finger. As you open it up a bit, it decreases the amount of heat going through your bowl. I find if your flame is powerful enough, it doesn’t matter as much how long or how close you have it to the...
Because it’s purely convection heating, vapor is only produced while you’re inhaling therefore there really isn’t a time when vapor is escaping when not in use. No where else to go while inhaling except for the forced pathway into your lungs.
Tried my Cherry SB Jr last night as well. Combusted my first bowl but got the hang of it right after. From nice lower temp hits for taste to higher temp big ass clouds!!
My Dynavap M is going into storage and the SB Jr will be in use with my GH once it gets back.
Anyone know what type of deal Haze is giving on shipping out of country or other promotional discount for FC members? Sent a DM this morning and waiting for a response. Figured you guys would already have the scoop.
Thanks.
If you live in the US and don’t think Hopper Labs will suddenly disappear, why don’t you just get one. You will already have the IQ as a dependable backup if the GH needs to be sent In for repair.
My opinion changes if you live outside of the US
That was my first vape too!!! Totally forgot about it. I’ll be honest, back then the Iolite was probably considered one of the best portable vapes out there at the time. Worked nicely for awhile but I realized over time that it’s not a good idea to combine an in house butane system into any...
I wouldn’t. As Molten Tiger alluded to in an earlier post, it could be the combination of old/new parts/electronics during the RMA process that has ppl sending their units back time after time. I only say this as I’m confident you have other decent vapes that can be used as back ups while your...
I remember reading that one of the philosophies of making the GH into a reality was to price it relatively low so that the vapor community can enjoy and prosper while Hopper Labs makes a small profit allowing the company to grow slowly.
Fast forward to today and looks like they’ve scrapped that...
I don’t think Hopper Labs includes the “mouth condom” anymore but you can probably quickly cover the mouth piece with the DynaVap Fat Mouthpiece ($1USD) as an example and that will protect your mouth from the heat.
They still only have the one unit but apparently it gets “tweaked” all the time...
I don’t think those two issues will ever go away. I rotate between 4 batteries so I don’t have any prob with battery life because it’s fast and easy to swap out.
I’ll repeat... despite all the negatives, I’d buy it again if I had to do it over again. You just can’t get that fast heat up time...
I’ve had mine for approx 1.5 years before dying on me. Now it’s in RMA limbo. But if I had to do it all over again, I would’ve jumped in with two feet and purchased 2 or 3 of them when they first came out.
Despite the frustrating wait after sales opened up and discouraging posts of...
Just pulled the trigger on a cherry jr from PuffItUp! Was totally debating getting it from Namaste.ca $169CDN which is a really good price but customer service reviews were all over the place.
I’m stoked!
I started vaping with the VG Coil, OG Solo which was great for the longest time until...
I have both the Dynavap M and Grasshopper. Introduced myself to vaping with the original Solo.
I got my M during the Black Friday sale as my GH died for the first time since receiving it (June 2016) and decided I needed a portable back up.
I have to say, the M is a really good inexpensive...
