Thanks for the shout out @Milkytime and it was an interesting choice of words that you used. Either ironic, or you caught a glimpse of my left hand in the video I posted :)
However, I can't take the credit because I only thought of the Solo stem mod because I had seen a reference to an eNano...
Curious what OD/ID silicone tubing that is and where you got it?
It looks like it is less than 3/4" OD by a small amount and larger than a 1/2" OD.
The only problem is that it puts silicone in the air path and I found that doing this with the minivap flexicones added a slightly unpleasant...
Yes, I was sick when I first got my Apollo and had communicated with Ville about what I thought was a defect because I hadn't tried the Apollo yet at that time.
He responded by telling me that he hadn't realized that the thin 1/10 mm steel shielding would be so difficult to drill and that he...
Combustion is always a possibility with the Apollo but I've only done it three times and I've had two chambers of glass to warn me before it hits me so I can back off quickly.
Sometimes I can back off quickly enough that I can disconnect the ash catcher and I still have vapor in the DHMobius...
Glad to hear that the back plate mod is working for you!
The vapor won't be any hotter......but I believe that the Apollo unit itself will build up and retain heat quicker and longer and also get hotter at the back end as a result......if you are running it for periods over 15-20 min long since...
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion......and you have already used one and I have not......so your input is more valid than mine at this point.....but no more valid to me than the other voices that I am hearing either.
A pocket eNano at 10 sounds great to me......but I flirt with...
Love to hear about your success with the Milaana.
I also LIKE the fact that combustion is possible if you aren't paying attention. I have combusted 3 times with my Apollo and probably about the same with my Underdog (with the regular SS Nong's - but over a longer period of time) and these are...
If you can combust with .....then technically with the right technique you should be able to extract everything the herb has to offer. However, until I have my own I will reserve my judgement until I have played with it for a while.
Images can be deceiving as well......especially a one-handed...
OK.....already have a Google account so opened up a new channel and uploaded three videos. Between the three videos you will be able to see the function of the Apollo with full heatup done without the herb chamber in place. So full convection extraction is taking place......absolutely no...
I have used it dry and the wide open air path is not conducive to controlling air flow through the herb chamber.
You could perform all the mods without silicone if you are that sensitive to it.....but the way I've used it ..it is not in the flow path of any hot vapor flow.
But you could cut a...
I've used it both ways and there is not a noticeable difference between the vapor temperatures with and without the restricted backplate mod. The vapor is hot in both configurations......just more dense with the mod.
The amount of restriction is minimal and the restriction when testing the...
No rubber bands. Just buy a PZ1 screwdriver and remove the back plate. Remove the screens and cut your silicone to fit the same space. Screw it back up again and you are done.
The draw will be more restricted and the Apollo will heat up quicker and retain heat better because the silicone would...
Hello Milkytime,
I love your avatar by the way!
I highly recommend that you seal the back air opening with a strip of silicone - even with the stock herb chamber I am getting much, much thicker clouds at power level 6 or 7.
With the Solo stem mod I leave it on power level 4 or 5 and hit boost...
The long mouthpiece is absolutely necessary for a Solo stem mod......which is the best way that I've found to use this vaporizer. Otherwise you would have to cut down the Solo stem to fit into the short Apollo tube.
Also with the long tube it raises the Apollo to the perfect height above my...
Yes.....I have to agree that this was definitely a very smooth launch of an awesome vape! No buttons to break down, a touch pad that re-calibrates with every new install of fresh batteries, a very intuitive interface and some very smart programming went into providing some very nice...
I tried the UD O/S NonG but not as a bowl but rather as the top link to the Apollo tube (with 18mm male end) and a silicone whip running to a bubbler. This is exactly how I tried it when I combusted that one time.
But I've sized it to the herb chamber bowl as well as a Solo stem and it is a...
That SonG would certainly form a better seal than a non-ground glass joint such as is formed when placing the Apollo tube over an 18mm male end. I find this is also pretty much air tight if you are willing to deface the end of your Apollo tube with a ring of glass joint wax.
But I was wondering...
The mainstream vaper has never heard of FC.....yet they are online and buying Pax and Solo's by the truckload through online vendors and B&M stores. Until the early Milaana's get some wider audience reviews and reviews by well known online Youtube reviewers and publications the demand will not...
