Made one (14mm quartz nectar collector). Like it. Takes practice to get the elusive perfect hit but when you do.... Zot! Straight to the forehead...
Plenty of temperature but not much actual stored heat is the reason for success imo.
Have you looked at the huge Another Tincture thread on Grass City?
https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/another-tincture-thread-try-it-youll-like-it.1102315/
Specific decarb rules (yes, your package maybe didn't hit the target temp/time), infusion methods (oil infusion is slow; better to use...
I make small batches and use a cone shaped paper coffee filter to perform the first separation. Then I squeeze the filter and associated solids in a manual lime squeezer. Works ok, and since I had all that in stock already required no new equipment.
Been using a Ti woody hard for 3 years; got my '01 vong Monday. It's terrific- cooler and beefier than the woody, and far more attractive. I really enjoy the juxtaposition of the smooth metalwork with the sharp edge machined features. Screaming deal at the sale price even without the bonus...
One potential advantage of the new vong that I haven't seen mentioned is durability. I've an original TI Woody (blackwood, it's cool) but the wood is thin and would easily crack if the unit were bent (like bare in a pocket). Gotta be careful.
Similarly, the tip on earlier vongs also...
Your surety is remarkable; have you used my Lotus? Are you asserting that manufacturing tolerance and/or errors do not exist?
Look at the hotspot pictures I posted- that hotspot has existed with my Lotus from new and it's location is 100% predictable based on the position of the disc; if it...
I'm usually circling at 0.9x, so I'll walk the ridge. Standby ;)
I swapped in a fresh lower screen, preheated for about a 5 count, then took a 20s draw while circling the ridge at about 1 rev/s. Same hotspot every time.
It's really green opposite the dark spot at about eight o'clock; the...
I don't think I'm holding it too close; been using a dynavap with great success for over 2 years and haven't had issues like that. It did seem to get sooty all of a sudden; dunno what to make of that as nothing in my setup changed, same torch, same butane.
My lotus was new in November and the...
Hey, I like that finish washer idea. Trying it out with the alu pipe.
I'm finally frustrated enough with my hotspotting issue that I've written to Lotus for input; looking for the same here. The hotspot follows the blue dot, always, unless I try to keep the temperatures *really* low (like...
You guys touting the Lotus' superiority over the Dynavap... I dunno. Been using a DV regular-like for about 3 years now; love it. Fast extraction, small kit, not messy... all good stuff. Found myself wanting to extend the ritual a little and maybe add in some CBD, so I bought the full Lotus...
Ripper is not threadless but it doesn't take a bunch of turns. I did find that the drilled holes needed deburring for my comfort- I want nothing to do with tiny thin shards of stainless swarf in my material.
That said, works good, though quite small in hand.
