I've never been burned by the Supreme but I had a pretty nasty mark on my arm from the Creme Brulee torch tip used to heat the Supreme. It was a nice perfect circle.

Holy shit!!! You are my new favorite person in the world. This is the best advice I've heard yet. From when I began using this almost 2 weeks ago, I pulled really hard while I was inhaling and I thought the iolite sucked. I read the tips to pull slower so I did and that made a huge difference...
I was getting pretty PO'd when I was first using my iolite as it wasn't doing anything for me similar to what you were stating. However, the unit is more than efficient now and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
