I was perplexed by this discussion, with someone reporting needing to take their DV a few seconds past the click with an IH. In my IH experience, beyond the click lies fiery disaster. I'm even planning to get a low-temp cap so I can explore heating beyond the click. Then, yesterday, Austyn...

    How many TRUE combustion-fuckers?

I clicked "completely fucked", though it may be aspirational. I started vaping at home in 2007, but I kept burning everywhere else until about five years ago, as portable vapes became more viable. Since then, I've only smoked when offered (very rarely) or when I become overwhelmed with nostalgia...

Induction Heater MAD Heaters - Innovative Dynavap Accessories

Sorry, I missed the SiC part; I was picturing borosilicate balls. Now I'm seeing that there's a ton of potential with a temp-sensing IH, freeing us from the click. If you put the balls in the tip, with the herb downstream, you could even create a convection device (edit: wait, is that what you...

Induction Heater MAD Heaters - Innovative Dynavap Accessories

Would that work in an IH? Glass won't heat with induction, and I wonder if the thin steel of the cap can absorb enough energy to heat up the glass.

George holds the patent on the core technology, the thermostatically-controlled cap and tip. He seems to look at that as an open-source platform that he and others can build upon. There's at least one interview out there featuring him and Austyn Simrell chatting happily. George is smart enough...

Fluxer Heaters, induction heaters for Dynavap

I had done a rough comparison (number of sessions) of the on-board charging vs. external, and it seemed like I wasn't getting as complete a charge on-board, so I was using the external charger. When I sent the Flite in to Jeff, he had me remove the batteries, and I didn't notice at that point...

Fluxer Heaters, induction heaters for Dynavap

I am an idiot. A while ago I posted about how my Flite had stopped working. It hadn't. The problem was purely operator error. I'm not eager to reveal this, but I really don't want anyone to doubt the reliability of Fluxxer products. Not knowing it was operator error, Jeff took it in, and he...

We all want to be Beta testers. That's why this rule exists: Do not ask about being a beta tester or ask about freebies.

Need a high quality portable Vape within a week, cant wait for shipping. Deep draws and good taste matter most to me. What should I go with?

Dynavap. I'll bet you can pick up a 2020m quickly. It ticks all your boxes. Even though it's mostly conduction, the first rip off a DV is pure, terpy flavor. Past that its flavor drops off, and aggressive heating will lead to burnt popcorn, but you can control for that. The only downside is it...

Fluxer Heaters, induction heaters for Dynavap

The wrench removes the nut which holds the switch in place so you can remove the assembly from the case. I opened mine up to drop my coils just a bit to get the Flix closer in performance to my Flite--it was just a little on the aggressive side, now it's perfect.

Genius. I can't believe that didn't occur to me. I think the carb (sorry, George) on the Simrell is really easy to find by feel, since it's the only blemish on a smooth surface, but this will make it even easier.

I'd prefer to call you insightful. Cynical is exploiting people's desires or weaknesses with marketing hype over design substance. It is some brilliant marketing. George is super personable--who wouldn't want to hang out with him on that couch and rip a few loads? And even if you can't be...

I'm glad those won't be features. One of the things I love about the DV/IH experience is the lack of bells and whistles.

You mean like one of these? Sorry, the whistle ring might be a senior citizen reference. But no, I don't want my Simrell to whistle. Part of what I love about that device is its elegant style, which would disappear with sound effects.

Fluxer Heaters, induction heaters for Dynavap

Help! My Flite won't power up unless it's attached to the charger. I ran it all the way down yesterday, and I charged the batteries in my Nitecore charger. When I put the batteries back in, it wouldn't turn on until I plugged in the charger. Now it works when it's plugged in, but not otherwise...

I'm with you. The mods have that authority. Josh does not. And his post felt more broad than just a request to adhere to FC guidelines. Regardless, it was a clumsy marketing move to scold people for being thrilled about their product. But I really hope it's an indication that Josh would like...

It's not unreasonable to ask, no. But he went on to tell us what is allowed, and what and when we can post freely--that's a little less reasonable. Sure, Dynavap has copyright protections for their logos and images, but the type of sharing that's happened here isn't a copyright violation, so...

    ABV Solutions - a poll

I get nothing but couch-lock from eating it. I still put it in a mason jar, out of habit, but when the jar's full, it goes in the compost. The holdover storage habit comes from when I was still buying weed, and, like @TommyDee, I knew there was still some value in there. Now that I can grow it...
