i got some cool new lights. I was using pax in frigid weather and it would go right to blinking blue on start up. I charged it up and same thing, i thought it was toast but later it worked at warmer ambient temperature, so pax needs to be above a minimum temp to work right. The temp light...
inside pocket for more warmth helps, and holding in your bare hand while it cranks up. I got a nice session in during a blizzard but yea batterys are weak in cold weather
i was smugly thinking yesterday how trouble free my pax has been and sure enough i turn it on and get the temp light issue for the first time. I tried wiping the mouth piece section down with iso applying the lube and no joy. It took soaking it in the iso then the lube to work
i'm looking at small bubblers and found this on the silver surfer site . I can't figure out the difference between 14 and 19 mm. Is this just personal preference or does it depend what type of hose used ? i just have a standard da budha with 3/8 in tubing...
i loaded the pax w/ nice purple diesel, stuffed pax into bicycle tool pack and peddled off toward the ocean. Upon arrival an hour later i was happy to sit watch the surf vape. Imagine my horror when i pulled out pax to find it had been switched on, the oven was filled with blackness. Looks like...
i haven't had any issues in the month i have had it but i clean it every 3rd time, but that literally takes as long as brushing your teeth so not a very big deal
at first i thought the pax was inefficient but doing a side by side comparison with da budha i noticed it's not bad. I think w/ da budha i was compensating for marginal quality bud by just turning up the heat until desired cloud effect reached. That same bud does not work as well with the pax...
that's sweet. I cant get anywhere near that level of cloud. Typically i pack the oven 3/4 tamped and get 2 small clouds, maybe once in the ten times i have used it i got a cough inducing cloud. Seems like the budha i have is more efficient or maybe i have it turned up too high and am burning it...
I used it in a blizzard the other day and it worked great. Set it on high and with a 2/3 full oven it was good for 4 or 5 clouds before needing stirring. I was hesitant at first because water probably not a good thing but i kept in my pocket to heat and stored it in a ziplock bag. Pretty...
