Not sure if this has been answered yet, I don't really feel like going through 140 pages of forum, but does anyone know if theres a difference between the newer iolite (iolite 2?) and the old one? All I see is a different design on the cover part. Its like, 60$ more on amazon and i was wondering...

My NO2 broke because the old power cord stopped working so I used a different, much more powerful power cord. Im not sure what happened, but whenever I plug it in, it smells like burning plastic.
