I have several Zaps and a few Purple days..... Myself I must say I lean towards the Rockzap as it is ceramic lined which means better heat retention and longevity of the wood used. No wait time, pick one and but it. Also Rick is producing amazing pieces with many very individual characters

Contact Arizer directly, I had the same issue and they replaced my solo with the latest stainless bowl version instead of the ceramic lined bowl. This is not a new issue for them and a painless process, I was very impressed with Arizers service!
