Got the brocoli Scoop N Tamp today. It looks exactly like the photos and has a good weight to it. The finish is a little sharp near the back of the bowl (at the top edge), but wouldn't cut you or anything. It's slightly magnetic, but my BCG doesn't cause the scoop to deflect off course very much...
I saw you post about your scoop a few times on FC over the last few days. I bought one and it should be here tomorrow. I'll report back with my thoughts. Thanks.
I also owned a HR Fury Edge and much, much prefer my TM2 with aftermarket stem. I agree the Edge has a good amount of conduction going on. TM2 is essentially all convection, and much easier to maintain.
I never stir either. I get even ABV on lower temps (~4.5) and essentially have an unlimited supply of my own. I usually do 2 1/2 draws and blow out the bowl.
I wish THG would make a fancier version of a modular bubbler like the FC-MOD or Gooroo. :\
I love the simplicity of those modular designs, but wouldn't mind paying a few bucks more for nicer looks.
Congrats on your TM2!
1A charging is probably a good balance of speed, but if you already have a decent charger and enough batteries, 0.5A is probably fine.
I use basket screens in my stem which work great. Make sure you get the ones for the TM2.
For cooler vapor, have you also considered a...
Keep a look out for the discounted BCG factory seconds on their website. Most say it's hard to tell any difference other than being limited to available color combos. Good luck!
Doesn't the wood body on the TM act as an insulator? (i.e., holds heat in to improve heating and consistency)
In other words, is solid metal a good body material from a performance perspective?
Congratulations and hope you enjoy your TM2. Here's a few tips I could think of quickly:
1. Make sure temp dial is above setting 2 or 3 before trying to turn on the device.
2. When inserting and removing a loaded stem, hold the unit upside down to minimize material falling inside.
Good luck!
Just spit ballin' here... but if budget allows, maybe grab six of those new $50 Cheech & Chong convection portables and everyone can have their own setup and gets to leave with a party gift.
