Sounds like you’re almost there. I’d try getting the bright blue flame closer to the cap if possible. Should glow from red to bright orange a little quicker too. I’m usually around 20 seconds using normal routine. I like a really light pack with mostly open air up top too for most times.
I was confused about that screen positioning ring as well when I first discovered during a cleaning! Thought the bowl was a bit small at first too. I’ve taken mine out to use all the space :freak:
Just used some recently for about a week. They need a little more heat imo. Didn’t improve taste...
Yep. Heat is weaker from the cap (but still there), until you put the finger on carb. Overall draw is more open obviously and cooler. That’s how I start it out, then adjust from there. Sometimes covered carb for the rest of the pulls if it doesn’t seem hot enough. Or even opposite if cap is too...
Retain. Not much diffusion with the 9 hole and I would assume the 3 hole as well. I’d call it a small-medium rig. Versatile with small & big vapes! Here’s a quick pull w/ the FUSION for reference ;)
If you’re looking for something more compact, HAMMER pipe can be used with or without water.
Mine does that too each time. Looks good as you have it down all the way  Threads are angled, so the very bottom one will pull just a tad more. Comes out fine & may have to flatten a little as you said before reinstalling.
Along with Brenyo’s suggestions, you might try getting a bit more airflow in the mix by letting a little of it through the carb and up the stem.. at times.
Don’t see why not. I actually shoot a very small flame for no more than 1.5 seconds (without screen), then swab w/ iso/ & rinse for quick bowl cleaning. Bowl does get hot (without rings)! So would recommend holding with gloves or tongs.
Agree. The dedicated coil on mine gives me some fuel savings
The ZX does though with the SS screens holding the balls. Guess it’s minimal but would also suggest a glass heater device as well for the experience
Great to hear that click is at the middle marker. Now I won’t have to look at it anymore  Yea my beta cool down click takes a bit. If you have it on a magnet or steel grinder, it’ll be quicker. I’m usually loading another bowl when it does that. I’ll heat again right away.. minding it’s...
If you have a 10mm or extra tempest screen, it’ll sit down in there (not perfect by any means). Scrapes easily with poker. I’ll use if I have a finer grind that would fall otherwise.
Yea. Even in locked position it’ll wiggle in there just a bit. Only those 2 o-rings near the condenser base holding the length of the assembly, somewhat suspended, in there
@RedZep I think you’ll love the 14. It’ll hold more than the Z bowl will if you want it to. Use a couple large nugs at the bottom (if not using screen). Then fill rest with finger nail or coarse grind nugs. Don’t pack/tamp too hard and you’ll have mucho airflow. ZX is kind of comparable...
It might, but would take a long heat up time. The glass heater is just as solid as the bigger ones. I use the big buddy around 8-10 seconds less than the normal sized terpcicle for it ;)
They’re my preference. But I like a lot of airflow & dtl. Had the 2.5’s in last week for about 5 days & you’re right, the cap does hotter and for longer with the same amount of applied heat. Felt the heat & weight on the stems a bit more too :brow: Will prob go with 3 Sic next time I dump to...
Easier or more open airflow with the 18 just due to its size. All these extract really well, no matter how much you put in. 14 bowl is small enough for me not to use a screen, that’s a plus.
