I have been really careful with the cap, and not touching the induction sleeve has helped keep the finger marks to a minimum, But I have noticed scratches on the very top of the VI. I guess it's inevitable, and it probably can be polished out so it'd not a huge issue

I've been using both the wand, and a triple flame torch. I don't think torching has changed the colour of the cap. I'm doing my best to not touch the bare metal, and so far there is very little discolouration so I think fingerprints are the culprit rather than the flame

I've got the black /ebony model. Does anyone know if using the wand will make the black finish on the cap fade? I think I remember seeing one of the beta purple models fade slightly after using the wand a lot.

I started with the wand which does work very well. The last couple of days I have been using a cyclone style triple flame, and I think I prefer it! There is something nice about watching the VI move. I'm definitely still going to use the wand when I'm feeling lazy, or playing computer games 🤓
