He does, I'm in awe of his skills, that canoe is beautiful.

Kayak?! No, no I haven't seen his kayak, where the hell does it hide? Edit: Holy shit, that's leather?

Yeah, urushi finish is really nice, this is one of my favourite urushi applications: Fostex TH900 Might be a bit more prone to pocket wear/damage than wood or leather though, and seems pretty labour intensive for a more budget device like the Toad? Simple veg-tan leather can be made very hard...

Cherry red sounds good to me too, and if I were you I'd go for whichever finish offers the best durability/stability, regardless of cool factor. All-else being equal the traditional approach has some extra charm, but it shouldn't be at the expense of longevity and reliability. Just my two cents...

    The Nomad From Morwood

BTW, the advice I've offered to anyone earlier, that they should get the high heater is based upon the assumption that they can't afford to get more than one. The advice offered by others, that it is better to buy both heaters is definitely the best option! I still think that if buying only...

Get the high, if you find yourself combusting a lot (wildly unlikely IMO, but not impossible) then you will almost certainly be able to learn not to combust, and even if you can't (we're piling unlikelyhoods up here, like jenga) then as Dan says below, just buy the low heater then. I like your...

    The Nomad From Morwood

I've actually been getting good results with just a single screen between heater and load too, I just can't take really strong draws without a bit of tunneling, but I just don't draw that hard. I didn't realise you'd made the glass stem/wood basket stems available already! Gonna email you right...

    The Nomad From Morwood

Hey Dan  You included a single screen, but I didn't use it for ages, as I stuck to your stock setup of two stem screens on either side of the wood capsule. I did fit it a few weeks back to try a single screen-no capsule arrangement again. Before I received my Nomad this is how I thought I...

    The Nomad From Morwood

Sorry, no mflb experience here  With the low heater I feel it's best to draw slow, and long to get best results, not really sipping though, as I tend to think of conduction vapes as 'sippers' where a short draw can still yield a thick, cloudy rip. The Nomad, like other convection vapes...

    The Nomad From Morwood

Well, of the portable vapes I own (Milaana, Grasshopper, Davinci mIQro, Dynavap, Vapman, and some lesser ones) the Nomad is the one that nearly always wins the reach test. All the others get used on occasion, but the Dynavap is the only real competitor in terms of frequency of use, and it's...

    The Nomad From Morwood

Gorgeous, congrat's. I love the contrast between the tamarind parts and the body. The black streaks of the spalting tie it all together superbly. My OG Nomad is just now starting to show some noticable patination on the bronze parts. It's got a slightly rose-gold sort of hue to it which I really...

    Flower Mill

Thanks for posting that vid', makes it easier to understand what's going on inside. So I suppose my remaining question is: Can I just follow the exact same procedure with Powdered Brewers Wash, or are there parts that have anodising that might be damaged by PBW? PBW is, I believe, widely used...

    Flower Mill

Hi @FlowerMillAaron (welcome!) or @FlowerMillJohn, I'd like to know if the aluminium part can be separated from the SS, to facilitate soaking in hot PBW without risking damage to the anodised surface? Many thanks :)

    Brilliant Cut Grinder

I'd like a grinder that I can simply dunk in hot PBW to clean (well ok, soak is probably a better term to use). It's so much safer to store (and in general) than ISO. I know there is the UMG and HR, but everyone has been raving so much about BCG and the way it doesn't stick, that I'd really...

Absolutely nothing, that's my preferred approach, but I'm all out of IPA (IsoPropyl Alcohol) 👍

    DaVinci IQ2 & IQ3

I asked this in the mIQro thread too, but here might be a better place to get an answer...? Can Davinci zirconium parts be safely soaked in Powdered Brewers Wash without damaging the finish? I know pbw ruins the anodised layer on aluminum, and that zirconium has a surface layer of oxide too...

    DaVinci MIQRO

I'm all out of IPA, has anyone tried to clean zirconium with Powdered Brewers Wash? I guess it's safe and won't likely damage the finish, but would like to be sure before taking the plunge.

Well, that's more in line with what I experience with other 18650 vapes, but it differs wildly to what others seem to be getting from a battery. Hopefully you'll get more if you replace your old batt's? I know temp' settings, packing technique, type of herb, weather and a users general approach...
