Those cooling stems from Rec Vapes look awesome. Some good options there to cater to most preferences. I was going to just pick up a mesh one but seeing the bigger holes on the glass screen ones I think I’ll get both to try.
Hopefully the standard size is coming as I’ll echo what others have...
I’ve heard good things about those longer dimpled ones you've linked. The one with the curved mouthpiece will cool better than the straight one. The straight will have slightly better flavour
The only thing I’d recommend against is getting any of those bubbler stems that take water if you come...
Jesus Christ that’s a haul. What size are the straight dimpled ones up top? I have the same ones in 90mm, fit perfectly in the smell proof tube the stock stems came in. They’re awesome for catching stray weed particles once they get a bit sticky from a few bowls. Good cooling too, not great but...
I would say this is likely the case, something I could never say about mine is that the vapour lacks density or potency.
She’s thick and satisfying, just how I like it ;)
I find the Anvil and S3 very close in terms of extraction and signature, they both leave me in a similar place at similar dose sizes.
The Anvil just gets you there slightly faster IMO. Solo 3 beats it black and blue in a flavour battle though.
Admittedly I’ve not been near an Anvil for a...
The Solo 3 definitely has that same satisfaction as a Vestratto product, the fact it’s also so effortless and automatic in comparison makes it a lot more laid back too. Really reminds me of smoking a joint, which was my preferred method before vaping
That’s a shame you can’t find any stems...
Firstly thanks for the reply.
So the reason it doesn’t fit is that the female end on the oven is shorter than it is on the Anvil oven. Because the airflow isn’t being routed through that connection anymore the airflow holes on the male end of the stem aren’t needed. When you put the Tornado on...
Nice to see you in here @eyevape and enjoying your new Solo 3! Its such a great device and it’s always good to see more people joining the club and realising that.
There’s a really good vibe in this thread and plenty of useful information from other users that has been incredibly helpful to me...
Hey man thanks for the additional perspective, I’ll admit I could’ve said that in a less absolute way so thanks for bringing that up and giving me a chance to walk that back a bit.
So my issue is that I can’t really have it all out, if that makes sense. Each session I would have to get the PID...
Agree with this. Madheaters built their brand off accessories and now look at them. Shout out to PP for being the guy he is and handing them the framework for a smash hit with zero ego involved.
I think there was talk of zirconia Arizer stems so sort of along your line of thinking? I am still...
The housing is still more than hot enough to burn skin or carpets, and will stay in that state for longer than a vapcap style vape. The hottest part of the head isn’t of much relevance in this context, they’re all at dangerous temps and hold it for a long time relative to say a vapcap. It’s just...
The damage is far from the same though. That’s the point being made really. Being a convection heater it’s a lot hotter than a vapcap whilst also staying dangerous for longer
Dropped locked torch is the worst though, holy crap is that a nightmare scenario. Even a little vapman sized one is...
Honestly this is probably the best option, tapping into the existing 8mm stem market. Especially if it’s as thermally optimised as you’d expect from inverted. I doubt it’ll need a crazy cooling stem
People just have different preferences and risk factors they have to evaluate when making their purchase choices. What’s good for you isn’t always good for me, and vice versa.
Wireless ball vapes are a lot like wireless phone chargers IMO. I mean you look at them and think yeah… but also not...
A small request as well-
I see in your outlined plans you were intending to make one of the butane/IH devices WPA only. Please don’t do that.
The tornado is currently like that. There’s people who want to buy it but won’t until it gets a stem, and people sawing up new parts and digging out old...
I’m definitely in the group that wants to see a portable from inverted. Everyone and their mother is doing a ball vape, and almost everyone who wants one has now got one. Even still, the size of that group pales to a lot of portables. Just look at the difference in post counts in portable and...
I’ve been a long time dynavap user but haven’t really dabbled in the new stuff. Wouldn’t mind picking one up as a beater vape.
Is any of it good? I see the new meta appears to be finless tips with higher mass. This appeals to me, I always ran my 19m tip to the limit and wouldn’t have minded...
100% this, love seeing a post from @electrokho82 about their latest bit of tinkering.
Their posts showing off the wand with the tornado have saved me money that I was ready to spend on a next gen IH for the tornado. It’s also just cool in general to me when people modify their stuff and add...
Absolutely a wooden shield. Makes such a difference to the look and feel.
Azzwoodcustoms in the UK makes some beautiful wooden shields and can do a matching sheath for the hot end. Simrell does some good ones too, I got a kingwood one off him - an added bonus is that they fit in the utility...
