There are different types of frits. The white ones you see w/ super small pores are most likely quartz frits used in lab environments and they come in different pore sizes. The other ones look like thousands of small tiny shards of glass fused together. DG and GBD produce ones like that.

@VaPeD&CoNfUsEd regarding the clogging, the ascent has the glass screen that gets clogged. Remove that (replace with mesh screen like PNPro), and try with just the WPA to the fritted hydrotube. Will probably clog faster now. Ascent also has a longer path for things to stick before it reaches...
