You could try lowering the temperature or wattage. One of my Splinters I run as low as 23W.
But you should experiment with just regular wattage mode if you are having trouble with TC.
Someone on Reddit yesterday posted a pic of a Z and were asking people which version it was.
They claimed they purchased a regular Splinter and think they were sent a Z, and was happy to be informed by others it was in fact a Z.
Could be they just don’t know what they ordered, or got packed...
Finally got a chance to take the Z for a ride. I have a 2-hole Purpleheart. The color is deep and vibrant and I love it. I am using the silver-fumed mouthpiece that Ryan was gracious enough to include in my order.
I wasn’t asked about high/low flow preference but if I had a choice I would have...

Ive been checking their IG and listed vendors but haven’t seen any new development on the release. Today is supposedly the day they were getting stock.
I like the DDave cooler(3rd from right) the best for cooling but haven’t tried most of those.
Hope to get an xl8r soon. How do you like that?

Which email are you waiting for? The one asking whether you want high flow? They are up for sale on the site if you haven’t already purchased.
Edit: all Zs appear be sold out now. Site still shows a Z but when clicked says Out Of Stock.
Exotic standard Splinters still up tho.
I have been informed by RBT CS rep Stephanie that the Splinter Z joint is the same 19/22 that the Milaana and older Splinters use so it is compatible with older stems.
Only the new Splinters have the new joint in order to keep the form factor smaller and reduce clearance from heater.
