I domed a ti double weave screen and put it in my female FP bowl - dome up. I then put a single mesh ti screen on top of that but left it flat. It is a microdose bowl now and it keeps the glass pretty clean.
I can't wait to try your chocolate bar recipe. I noticed you have (12 grams of herb) here but explained 4grams for the extraction process. So just triple up on everything for the decarb and extraction?
On the flower pot thread someone mentioned using ungummed hemp fiber in a m-f gong adapter underneath your bowl as an alternative to an Ash catcher.
Another thing that might help reduce particles is using a double weave screen but it clogs faster and needs to soak in iso more often than regular...
Mine showed up Wednesday. It's a lot of fun having a portable that hits almost as good as a desktop.
Any tips for keeping everything in the stem? When I pull the stem out half of it is in the heater.
For oil and the showerhead, what's a recommended temperature, using the controller from NewVape? my sweet spot for flowers is 640F. Do I need the double weave screen to do the convection dab or can I get by without?
If I got a SIC, what temperature would I use with the controller from NewVape?
I'm in the minority and I realize it condenses the vapor but I like my piece with an ice pinch and filled with ice. I also have an ash catcher that I can fill up with crushed ice and empty easy. Ice cold hits always seemed easier on my asthma. And ice and water dumps easy into an empty cup...
That thing looks awesome too. I asked about the 18mm stuff cause I picked up a vapor tamer from 7th floor years ago and want to use that. It usually just languishes on my freezer.
Which MOD would you use for a preloaded cartridge that says 8 watts on it? I'm a noob here and currently have the cartridges on the battery that came with my yocan evolve plus.
I love my LSV, so that's big news to hear that the FP is next level. I'm excited about having something for dabs and flowers.
I'm looking forward to experimenting along with you to find my own sweet spot. That is one of the fun things about getting new Vapes.
Every vape has its learning curve. Experiment with temps and draw speeds. Higher temps with slower draws tend to get closer to combustion with my desktop Vapes. I haven't tried the solo 2, but I did try my buddy's solo and the air. It's been a while though.
Just keep going on a session...
That's great news. I have asthma and have been following your experiments. As soon as I get home from MD Anderson Cancer Center next week (they got me in remission yay), I'm ordering the flower kit to replace my LSV as my daily driver.
I hope I can replicate your success
