@vape>comb the santa cruz shredder priced just above the one you initially mentioned would work great. Has an extra compartment for the fresh grind to drop into. The one you posted would work great if you had a nice spot to dump it into and scoop it out.
If I were to get a new controller now...
My NV coil been going strong since Sep. 2017! Survived a change between the ol' wraparound head to Vrod and been hooked-up to the same NV controller. I also leave it on 5+ hours a day, everyday. And sometimes forget it on when I fall a sleep or leave for work for 8+ hours. But I currently have...
Nice...I had my eyes on that Fatboy Glass one.
I got to post some of my holiday acquisitions soon. 'Won' a couple IG auction rigs, bought some bubble caps, and just got a locally made (Vegas) heady for my Peak by DonRob Glass. Only had the Peak a couple days so far (when they're in stock...
My current drivers for flower with the Vrod are a Mobius Ion Matrix II and a Zob (this one). The Mobius is ultra smooth, no resistance bubbler. Uncapped hits with this one. The Zob is a loud vibrating tumbler but gives me nice big hits. Capped when I'm hitting this bigger guy. Both at my current...
Nice RBR...Been eyeing the recent rbr release at NVS Glassworks. The bigger, double diffused like yours should be stable and great for this system.
Next month I want to get a an RBR like that or a worked Ryedeyer style recycler for the Vrod.
I never tried vaping a bud that big in the bowl before! :brow::brow::lol:
...crank the heat up and hover the head over the top of that bud and see if you get anything!
Going to try inserts next. I first started out by torching and waiting, but my timing always sucked. My bangers were always jacked. Looking back a big part of that is I was using the lowest of the low Chinese bangers (like the free ones that came with purchases) but I also never kept consistent...
Depending on how much you're growing, you may want to look into pressing freeze-dried bubble hash over just the flower. You'll get a higher-end product to dab.
Titanium bowls can last forever, the glass bowls can break. That's probably the main downside. Mine lasted a couple months before snapping in two when I pulled the Vrod head off after a session.
I broke my first ever NV sic dish when I pulled everything apart for it's initial cleaning (over two years ago on the wrap-around head). All my fault as I grabbed the side of the sic dish with some pliers and twisted, and that part just cracked off with the pliers. I haven't broke another sic...
Post a pick or link of your rig. It's got to be the main reason you're combusting based on the numbers you're vaping at, so I'm interested to see this thing!
I get what you're saying, and I do that to a certain extent and also use drop downs on the smaller rigs to help balance. I'll probably do what 52 did...buy without the handle at first, and then realize I do indeed prefer it and order separately!
I was all about that NV handle at first, thought of it as a necessity to the entire set-up. But next coil I get won't have it. I'm all about keeping it as light as I can now, cause it is can be a bit heavy w/ the vrod head and create a balance issue with smaller rigs.
My friend doesn't have it...
@nodrog maybe one of them old-school glycerin coils...remember seeing them in my search for old Pyrology glass and that could be interesting for no water vaping
Glycerin coil (there are some stack-able ideas on this page looking up the "Stax" offerings!)
@Bumping Spheda Since you don't have your grinder yet and your flower is really fresh, load a couple chunks in there and do a light flavorful draw. Then dump it out and crush up it finer with your fingers and go for round 2!
Looks like I finally met the woman of my dreams! Nice set of knockers, big bum and no yapping since she has no head...the perfect woman!
i got her as a travel rig, cold start dabs mainly, but gave her a ride on the Vrod today
To me, that looked like a proper 700f capped hit out of a rig like that, like if I were to use my Vrod on it. Vapor looked thick, and the flower cooked but not black (a clearer video may disprove that, but I believe that's what I saw!). And I also dab at 680 - 700, with various 'trates such as...
