@withoutbliss this is the second time today I noticed you paraphrase a post directly above yours... The weed your vaping must be pretty darn good!
25 second draw time seems excessive in the context of real world usage. I would think 5-10 seconds would be more applicable. Also, it's still not clear (to me) what the dial is set to.
I'm sorry that avtpl feels badly about the thread responses, but the vast majority were fair questions and...
Speaking about me personally, I am not upset with avtpl's research, but I don't agree with the methodology or approach. There's been multiple references to being an engineer which I assume is intended to justify the curiosity for testing as well as boost credibility. I've been an engineer for...
Tried out my new Tempest today with great results. I set my Wand to 535f and went to timeout on the half bowl setting. I had the SCU installed to start out with maximum cooling before I begin experimenting. Flavor was good and started tasting slightly popcorny after third pull, so I stopped...
I don't use beast mode, but I guess I might if I wanted to use it with hash, etc. (?)
It could be your TM2 behaves incorrectly or by design, either way I don't believe you'll find a lot of owners here bothered by it. The reason is most are able to successfully dial in specific results when...
?
Not sure why you are expecting more than you are getting TBH. The only way I could think a portable, convection vape could control vapor temperature would be using another sensor directly in the bowl or stem air path. Even then it may not be able to respond to changes in draw speed/length...
I looked quickly at the video. Some questions for clarification: 1) the TM2 dial is set the max value of '10', correct? 2) is the metal cooling housing used to hold the probe sticking out from the glass tube and making direct contact with the metal above the heater?
If the metal cooling unit is...
It could be as simple as the flower you're using is too moist... Not saying that is it, but maybe post a picture of your bud and also your Tempest ABV. Is it roasted to a dark brown? Still greenish looking? etc.
If you have well cured flower at the right moisture level and good storage, humidity packs shouldn't be used. Once it starts to dry out over time due to opening/closing the container, or other reasons, then those packs can help keep the flower at a good moisture level. It's a trade off and worth...
You can find those dark amber mason jars locally most places, in the US at least.
There's some debate on whether adding vacuum is good or not, but a good seal is key. Good luck!
Looks nice. The price is around $100 USD, where the BCG and OMD are ~$150 (not including BCG 15% discount), so not quite half the price. Still looks like a good option to consider!
I believe there's an upper limit to the amount of total cannabinoids and secondary metabolites a given plant can produce, so by breeding for high THC, you may be producing less of the other "stuff"... It's a trade off.
Since there is an entourage effect from the combination of cannabis...
I agree. I think the "arms race" on potency will level out as the market matures. Plus, there are many options when it comes to consumption to avoid high potency products... First get educated on the types and effects if you're concerned. For example, you can pick up 1:1 flower for a much calmer...
I won't try to stop you. ;) I actually made a reload knockoff when I first saw them come out... My versions been working great too.
When I went to order the tempest I felt compelled to add a reload since it was the original inspiration (plus it has additional features that will be useful).
I don't have experience with that product, but many people around here are happy with the Saml FC-MOD which is similar in design (maybe slightly better). It should cost about the same or cheaper depending on the options.
