 That's awesome, great improvement here  still checking whether I like the warm or the hot better... there's just so many trials I can do in a row
S+B is a proper company with reliable products, working QC and pretty much legendary CS. Hopper Labs are a couple nerds in love with their product trying to cope with shit and barely getting the engineering part done. I wonder if that would attract investors.
@guyonthecouch linked an American retailer selling a comparable rig at $60
They're bullshitting a lot, I give you that, the more reason not to get angry at every single example.
Well, that would be $1 plus shipping (letter)

Well, to be fair, if any American company (importing this from China in their own brand design) would sell you this, they would at least charge what Hopperlabs is charging you.
No I haven't because I understood from the file description on fcshare that it wasn't necessary if I downloaded the custom file for my specific mod, which I did. Have it running now though, thanks for the tip!
It never quite worked for me to use the TC mode with @HerbieVonVapster 's SplinterZ profile from the start, couldn't get clouds at all. Maybe it's cause I started using it in the cold season in a cold country, but for me, it took to preheat the unit properly, for that purpose I programmed...
Well, after 26 months of pretty much daily use, the battery life went down, heating up time went up, so I decided to take S+B's offer to change the battery (and clean and maintain the entire unit) for a lump sum of EUR 70. So I sent it in this Monday, it arrived there Tuesday and Wednesday...
Way back, when I was way more enthusiastic about the Hopper I bought 5 additional Hopper batteries and I'm still using the first two. The others haven't lost much of their charge, I check them once in a while and they're still in the area between 50 and 70% for more than a year.
"This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine..." I hear you ;)
My Hopper 1 which was rmaed last summer after 7 months purgatory starts acting up recently. More flickering, less heat, less vapor. Hm...
I bought my SplinterZ at @VapeFiend.com (only source for the Z then) and had exactly the same thing happen after a couple of days. Sent it in and a few hours (!) after it arrived there, they replaced my shipping costs and sent me a brand new one which I'm happily using several times a day. So...
So I bought a Lost Vape Paranormal DNA250c Box Mod cause everyone said it's the shit. Everyone was right, mega upgrade, and I'm just starting. Makes the SplinterZ pretty much my exclusive @home vaporizer. First used it in simple basic watt mode, and it worked way better than my Wismec Sinuous...
06 MARCH 2019 - UPDATE - PLEASE NOTE A MEMBER CALLED DIBS ON THE VERDAMPER PLUS ONE HEATER. As soon as the deal is clear, I'll have this posting removed.

So here's my old and trusted De Verdamper in the El Cheapo ("Reizer") / Safe* version. I bought it in 2005 and have...
@Cheesequake - I agree with all you said, however, the question was about heat up time, the Splinter is up there.
Also I cannot user the Hopper without water or any other device, and I use the Splinter Z native all the time. I kind of went to the other side ;)
Not that long ago I'd have said the same. Now I own the SplinterZ and would beg to differ. If I use it on a water piece with wattage mode @60 Watt it's pretty much as fast and definitely as mighty. However, using it that way has a very high combustion risk which the Grasshopper doesn't have. If...
No portable I own does these clouds and the only breakable parts are the glass parts which are easily (meaning relatively cheap) replaceable. It has a certain learning curve for many people though.
