There is a hole about 1/2" on the bottom of the heater unit and an air path all the way through the unit to the bowl, the same way the cloud is set up but it is not glass. The vapor (on mine anyway) is not thin. It will not milk up glass like a cloud or SSV will. But it definitely not thin...
