Have the number of holes on the grind plate changed? I have 8 around the centre post, the one in the vid and on the website have 6? What's the reason for the change @OMD ?
Also, I got a couple of these hybrid ceramics...
By way of update for me, I've had no issues with binding or gumming up since that very slight momentary one with a bit of resin on the centre post. It is staying remarkably clean. I've not cleaned the grinding area once and easily put a couple of ounces through it if not more.
What impresses...
My grinder goes in a bag occasionally, or a glovebox or whatever, yeah.
It's not like the magnet makes it hard to use for most, although a nice option if you have difficulty with grip for any reason.
I'd not be keen on losing the magnet. I'd be very concerned about that coming apart in a bag or pocket and slicing anything it smacked into.
I also love the smooth sides, looks like a hybrid between a revolver and a piston head. The lines kinda lose that unique aesthetic imo. Looks a bit more...
I reckon it could be solved with a skirt/bump around the middle section. You could use that to grip more effectively and no way of accidentally opening the bottom chamber. Might make it less beautiful though...
I don't have the problem, whether it's hand shape, technique or the grinder I don't...
Weirdly I don't get this at all. I can drop it on one handed and it aligns. Is very strong though. Not an easy one handed open!
One thing I have noticed is that the centre post got a little bit of resin from a very oily Sativa that has a tendency to creep about. It did gum it up a bit and made...
No issues at all. Locks home perfectly every time. The way this thing's been machined perfectly means it snicks together beautifully. The magnet is very strong.
Yeah. I'm sold. Just tried with a few nugs of jungle cake. Beautiful fluffy soft grind. No signs of any compressed, crushed or rolled up bits. Buttery smooth. The inertia from the mass of the thing really gives it an effortless feel. Plus it's just awesome to play with and admire. Exceptional...
Received mine today, absolutely beautiful. Tried it on some loose fluffy sativa that was not long dried and still a bit soft. Best grind out of all my grinders on that. Santa Cruz, BCG and SLX all did a worse job. I'll try some well cured indica later as that's probably a fairer test. Seems...
I've got the old model and it's awesome doing fresh frozen trim in the freezer. I dry it fast in my curer fridge and the resulting kief makes hash rosin that's very close to live rosin without the ballache of freeze drying or making fresh frozen bubble hash.
They're awesome little bits of kit...
I grabbed a lightning pen, absolutely blown away by the quality and heat up times. Small cup, but definitely at least comparable to my M22 escc otherwise. Crazy at the price.
Only question I have is what is the black ceramic glaze made from?
