@johnwillyums The log runs off 12V DC - I've taken mine camping with a powerbank. Instead of a converter, you could also use a 12V UK wall wart with the appropriate output current. My power supply says 12V 3A output. @Ed's TnT how much current does the wall wart need to provide?
Those are gorgeous wood pieces, @Quint
I got a new stem from @stardustsailor
Straight on, it looks blue with a purple glow.
From an angle, it looks purple.
There's better photos with proper lighting in startdustsailor's thread (before he sent it to me).
Congratulations! Will we see some Ti Vongs maybe?
My stem arrived, and it's gorgeous. If you look at it straight on, it looks blue with a purple glow.
Look at it from an angle and it's purple. Unreal.
Short answer: It's totally worth it.
Longer answer: I started with a Volcano many years ago and discovered the Vapcap when I went looking for something portable. I liked it and ended up with a bunch more Vapcaps and was using the Volcano less. Then I tried an Arizer Air. It's a decent vape...
I got a new Omni XL stem from @stardustsailor Photos don't really do it justice - the colours are much more pronounced. It looks and feels like some sort of ancient alien artifact, very pleasing to handle and use. I'd gotten used to using a 5-fin tip so I decided to switch back to a 7-fin...

It turns easily enough when I want it to, but pretty much stays where I put it otherwise. If I take things to another room or switch to battery, I may have to adjust it, but that's about it. With the voltage display, you can tell instantly if you need to change it.
@Eyedunno - how do you like this rig? Can you taste it? How easy is it to clean, is ISO safe to use? I was looking for something to take camping and almost bought this combination. I ended up getting this instead, but I'm not really happy with it - water tends to splash up.
Speaking of...
I was all set for a log session yesterday when my power went out. No problem, I have a few VapCaps. I did a load in the Omni XL and thought I'd combusted, but didn't. Then I remembered my power bank and switched back to the log. :D
Interestingly enough, all three of those were on my list before I settled on the WS. Underdog as well, until I read about the warm-up time.
I swapped a standard Dynavap condenser in on Ed's WPA, and it works. I'm used to my XL VapCaps, though, so it feels really short this way. I'll...
Is that a diamond-shaped airport/carb/air intake hole thingy? I'll bet that takes the feathering to a new level. When are they going to run out of things to tweak?
@phattpiggie Wow! Gorgeous.
That's quite a stunning collection, @Prolusio. I would have a hard time deciding which one to use. Using them all is probably the best choice.
After getting a few more bits and pieces in the sale, here's my current lineup.
More pictures of the log in the WoodScents thread.
