Having a sealed mason jar atop your PD shouldn't cause too much stress, but I will respect your choice-- even though, the PD is literally indestructible! I don't microwave the plastic.. (although, people microwave plastic containers all day long, I don't think you need to be too anal about it...

I use hot water a lot too.. I just grab a bottle of filtered water, drink a bit, and put the rest in the microwave and nuke it! :D I guess this could be hard if you don't have a microwave. You could also find a tiny jar or something and place it on top of your soon-to-come PD and let it heat up...

I've never bought that specific thing.. but my buddy got a thing piece of stainless steel and drilled a few holes in them for quickly curing buds at his dispensary, and then realized that if he drilled the holes at certain angles, alternating this and that-- it would be a great 'bud cheese...

Would the OCD stand up straight with a stem inserted into the unit? I'm asking because it seems like the unit would easily tip over with such a heavy duty glass stem protruding from the side of it.. Can we get some more pictures of the unit with a coke-can or something beside it for size...

I removed my post, but if I remember correctly.. in my 4 line list, I made sure to say like, not sure, can't confirm, looks, seems, etc.. I was pointing out things I saw as minor differences.. not claiming to know the entire secret behind the LB construction.
