I find it quite the opposite. The taste is twice as strong finger ground vs through my BCG.

Not anticipating plates is a weird call. Different vapes work better with fine or rough grinds.

Yah, it can be kinda a pain. Just dont overthink it. The nub side is up. Push the screen into the gasket gently from the top so that its wrapped around it. Then gently push the gasket into the hole. It should seal the screen in tight.
