A small leak of oil out the bottom is what I would deem common. If you see enough to equal a full drop of oil you probably have a leak. I think what caused this is setting down the device hot. Pull air through your cartridge without pressing the button for 5 or so full hits after you are done...
Persei and V2-V2.5 have lifetime warranties, I have yet to see other similar devices with a lifetime warranty. Persei is the only 7.4v device I have seen too.
Waited too long to edit my OP, my findings are in the above quote.
The first time it read 1.7ohms then three more times it read 1.6ohms.
RuFrothy- if you can provide a place to meet where we can test(not in a parking lot) then I am down to see what's up. If mine works better than yours ill...
If I remember RUFrothy's were within .3ohms of each other.
I will edit in a bit with my findings but lets see what everyone who has an Iris comes up with for Ohms on their 7.4v Herc. I'm sure there is variation to some degree(.3ohms?) but it shouldn't be crazy.
My 7.4v Herc = ?ohms on my Iris
I only clean mine if I'm not happy with what I put inside. Keeping them "dirty" gives me fatter hits. I clean my whole unit when the vapor resin starts to block the air holes.
I use mine by loading a few BB-sized balls and hold the power on till I see vapor come out the side holes, then hold on...
Tell me you didn't buy this one......
It's best used as a paperweight, It weighs as much as 4 dab essentials nails combined. I was shocked when I first held it and was forced to take the above photo in search of its maker. It's made in china and wholesales for $30.
Good to hear! D9 is in Van Nuys if you find yourself in LA and in need of assistance. Hopefully it was just possessed and you exercised the demon, haha.
You should go back and read the threads, tons of info on materials used. You must be basing your findings off of the old ThermoVape video of them dismantling a cart and calling stuff plastic and fiberglass to glorify theirs. Here is what the inside of a new/old cart posted a while ago for anyone...
Where are you located? Give them a call at the office and you will be promptly taken care of. If you are in the Bay Area I can come meet up with you and get you going again.
7.4v Herc @ 7.4v = double flash
2.4ohm @ 7.4v = double flash
With only that much data I am going to say your unit is working as it should. I'm sure G will chime in on its actual function but I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. Reminds me of the hammer top when you bump it, a...
I have seen the button flash like the timeout on an original but I think it has to do with circuit protection. How long are you holding the button? If you press it fast does it still do it or only after a "hit"?
