You are doing something wrong. Try finding someone near with vaping experience.

I do like you sometimes because I can get more hits that way but it tastes better if finely grinded and small charges help vaporizing perfectly. With whole nugs you always have the bottom part much more vaporized and the flavour is less intense but lasts longer.

About Solo rubber connections: This one I used fits perfect for 18 mm. If you use a 14 mm one it helps "sitting" the vape and sealing the conduct but you have to hold it while you vape.
