Put a liquid pad on top of your flower load. This adds just a bit more conduction and the AVB comes out very even brown. Also keeps a bunch of plant material out of your CU.

I have a Liger, 20mm, v2 w-obsidian and SiC inserts. I love it and the taste is comparable to my D-nail SiC Halo and no bad it Ti flavor. The only time I got a rotten taste in my Liger was when live resin became available in my recently med legal state. But I dropped my temps down 40 degrees...

Double boiler, please. Put ISO and parts in a plastic bag and put that into pot of hot water. Much less chance of blowing up your house. Bag in ultrasonic cleaner will work also.

I too like being in control but have found the Palm to be excellent and I have not found myself wanting for lack of variable W/V control.

Yes,the prices they are charging for a flat square of aluminum is indeed outrageous. Check out risinpressny.com. He sells a plate for $25 and it works fine. Alternatively, look around local glass places and see if you can get a 1/2” - 1” piece of glass. This will also work well
