Yeah. This may have been part of what hit me as well. Since Lithium batteries like frequent top-up, I tended to use it off the charger then put it back.
In the longer term, I'm going back to using the SSV for primary at home. Aside from maintenance, it's just much, much more efficient than having to toast a whole Pax oven-full at once. Having greater ability to stir, plus convection vs. conduction just seems to be a win in the larger vapes...
So, next morning now. Mouthpiece action is fine, and the temp indicator issue has eased considerably. Guess the cleaning was pretty effective.
I am a little bummed it needed such a cleaning after only three days use as my primary vape. I'm hoping this one was luck of the draw with resin...
Thanks for letting me know.
So I recleaned mine, and replaced the screen hole-side-up, as suggested here. I think there may have been some crap stuck in the mouthpiece, because something dislodged when I cleaned it with a doubled-over iso-91%-soaked pipecleaner. It's hitting again, at least...
OK, some great info here.
I agree re: resin. I tried getting 91+% last night and the local pharm was sold out. I'll try again tonight. I did use the alcohol wipe included with the kit, but sounds like that's a no-go.
I don't have dental brushes yet. I had them in my hand, but put them back...
Yeah, misspoke. I meant the temp light was on with the mouthpiece extended, not out.
I'll give a shot recleaning with qtips and dental brushes. Still, kind of a bummer. I'm concerned about the bad draw issue; that seems deeper than just the mouthpiece switch. :/
So now I'm in the "screwed up Pax" group. I got mine on Saturday, and had a very nice three-day weekend. On Monday eve, after fairly constant use, drawing started becoming difficult with low vapor production. At the same time, was seeing the temp indicator LED flash a little more during draws...
Might not be either/or. If the alcohol dissolves the resin, then the solution runs into the switch, the alcohol will evaporate off but the resin won't. Possible that if you're not careful with the alcohol it turns into a very efficient resin delivery system for the button internals.
I've medicated by burning ABV. It's a couch-lockish sort of feeling, though. Heavy CBD content, since that's much of what's left behind.
I guess I never considered eating it. The heat probably activated it to some degree, but it's not as potent as fresh flower so I think you'd need a *lot* of it.
My Pax came in today. I was going to write a long review talking about exactly how much I enjoy it, but think I'll sum it up as the reason I won't be writing that review is entirely because of how much I enjoy it. I am, however, going to go order a pizza.
1. Sweet spot here. I leave it pointing just to the right of the logo, and that seems to work well for me.I stir halfway through the bowl.
2. Hands-free attachment is boss. I have the spherical ground glass setup, and while I like the tactile bits, sometimes I also like to just set it up and...
Heyas, lurker-turned-poster here.
CA med patient, been medicating pretty regularly for about eight years now, been using vapes since ~2007 or 2008.
First one was a really crappy vapor bros clone that never worked. Second one, bought maybe a week later, was a Fuji (Volcano knockoff) that had...
