I cleaned my Herc and switched to a new coil, and i'm back to the coil sliding up issue. i'm not really happy with the crush the coil method of effecting coil slide. i'm going to try altering the upper chamber of the herc to allow a snap ring or spring clip to hold the coil down.

should i buy this?
