I knocked my seal out of place being rough when cleaning it...i stopped using the wet naps that came with it and switched to a qtip with 70- 91% iso. Lightly wipe with both ends and it works like a charm. And no knocking the seal out
Grenco science has preloaded iso qtips or Gtips which i think...
I dont know about the normal use thing, but i had a domelss quartz. Had it resting in my dome on the table, the dome got knocked over still on my desk and the domelss cracked in half.
Everything kindbeats said, the only thing on the inside of it is ceramic and the Ti wire. Its also user rebuildable and they are going to have rebuild kits available at some point i believe.
Yeah just sharing my experience and what G told me. I used to warm it up to get the oil that runs up to kelt back down and it tarnished the SS so i got a new upper chamber and stopped doing it
The chambers are made of SS. You do not want to heat them up with a lighter. The only thing that your supposed to use for heat is the rod.
My old upper chamber tarnished after i heated it with a lighter so many times. Bought a new one just to be safe.
Im with you there. A lot of people on here just burn off the ISO or just let that the iso air dry.
i specifically asked G if i should dry burn it like i did with my old pen or rinse it off under water and let it air dry. He suggested the rinse and air dry. Thats what i have done and have gotten...
Great advise...
For me it depends... Id probably bring my persei over the FF just cause it smells less and oil is easier to conceal. If i didnt have any oil and was in a bind i would bring the FF. And probably buy a car charger for it depending on the trip.
 Thats about right, 3-4...
Nope, you have to press 5 times to lock it and press again 5 times to unlock it...
Take a hit, pass out and come back in the morning itll still be unlocked...just like any ego or other battery. I really miss the push out button.
IMO, thats just asking for trouble. If you let it soak in 91%...
You dont need to turn it off. If its just laying around the house leave it unlocked. Only time you really need to turn it off is when putting it in a pocket.
I really like the new button as well. Its much easier to press and you dont block the blue light so you dont have to worry about not...
Im having the same issue. My first one was fine. This second one is splattering up no matter how much or how little is in there. I think it has something to do with how the coil is wrapped. My first one was nice and even. This one has 2 loops really close to one end and the next two spread out...
Anytime. Glad i could help. The hercules is very intimidating/confusing/tricky from an outsiders/newbie perspective. Once you get over the hump it should be all clouds and no downtime unless you lose a part. (Those white ptfe rings, the nut and retaining rod are very easy to lose be careful when...
Have fun! Obviously disassemble and reassemble it a few times so you get the hang of it. And i would try heating it up a few times before you load it to make sure its working. Heat it up without the black shield on so you can see and feel it heating up. With white rod it should be able to see it...
I dont know about that... Im pretty happy with the 74 white rod. I have yet to burn any oil with it. Except maybe a couple times when it was low on oil and i ran it hard... Taste wise its pretty much on par with the black rod and requires less work and technique...
I just have not used it with...
I find that with the sr74 rod and ti coils you need to preheat it a little first. My first hit is usually whispy, then subsequent hits are great.
yes thats normal for one coil. It actually works a little better that way if you have thicker oils because the oil is closet yo the hottest part of...
Yeah, when i first saw all the colors were out of stock i assumed it was for some tweaking. Buts thats just what i thought who knows if thats what happens.
As i mentioned, i can feel the battery cover "snap" on but it does come off with very little effort from my thumb. I havent had any issues...
