Vape for solids and kif, whats recommended?

Got it. So maybe I’ll start with a dynavap and then follow the rabbit hole down (up?) as far as it goes.

Vape for solids and kif, whats recommended?

So any portable rig will work well with homemade rosin? Man have I been fed some misinformation. Lol. Thanks again!

Vape for solids and kif, whats recommended?

Nice, thanks! Although, that begs the question, if the rosin doesn’t actually touch the coils, couldn’t one use ANY coil based rig? The flowerpot doesn’t look super portable. Is there a portable version you would recommend to go along with it? (Edited the previous post also, was supposed to...

Vape for solids and kif, whats recommended?

This is a question I’ve been searching all over for also. I just started pressing my own rosin, but from what I hear, homemade rosin really gunks up coils. I thought the vapcap was just for flower. How would one use rosin in it? And who makes the flowerpot? Thanks!!!

E-nail coil would take MUCH longer, and be a little tricky. You would have to basically preheat the slug, quickly add your material (while attempting not to burn yourself!), position it on the vise while hot, and start pressing. It would be tricky to know how long your material was at what...

    Gear Slug .33 Rosin Forge

Only see the 14” tool bag around here. Not sure if the dimensions are external or internal. Think a 14” would be long enough? Love that you are killing it with your yields! I feel like it will almost become a hobby, something I work at to always try to beat my last yield, whether or not I...

    Gear Slug .33 Rosin Forge

Thank you! So you keep the spacer near the forge? In your one video you mention keeping it away to see if rosin comes out the back. Does it help with heat distribution somehow?

    Gear Slug .33 Rosin Forge

So do you heat the top, middle, or bottom of the very back? (Sorry, trying to eliminate variables!) Congrats on a huge return! That had to feel awesome!

    Gear Slug .33 Rosin Forge

Obviously one of the great things about this line of rosin forges is how they invite experimentation. That said, have you found an ideal amount of material (a sweet spot) for each forge? I had thought: slug .33: 1.0 grams Deuce: 2.2 grams (website says 2-2.2 though?) Fat Mac: 3.5 grams But...

    Gear Slug .33 Rosin Forge

So what would you say your range is so far (least amount of torch vs. longest amount of torch time)? And are you heating square in the middle of the back? Or more on the top or bottom of the back? (Or a half inch towards the front, etc.)

Got it. That makes a lot of sense. Excited to try it!!!

    Gear Slug .33 Rosin Forge

Ahhhh! SUPER interesting. So blowout is partially because the material hasn’t been heated enough to let the rosin flow out of the material, so the material can’t compress enough to not blow out. That’s hugely helpful. I know the factors the influence color are many, and debatable. Are you...

    Gear Slug .33 Rosin Forge

And thank you for the welcome! Really should have introduced myself first but was excited to jump right in. Excuse my manners. Been lurking for a while. Quit smoking cigarettes a year ago. Vaped hard for a bit. Now only occasionally. Friend introduced me to dabs 4-5 months ago and I was...

    Gear Slug .33 Rosin Forge

Awesome to know he stands behind his product. That says a lot. And I welcome toddler advice as well! I’ve watched all the videos online at least once. So have you been pressing 1.1 grams in the slug .33? Any trouble with blowouts, or (per the videos) does going slow enough in the end seem to...

    Gear Slug .33 Rosin Forge

Thanks steama and Natty for the replies. Makes sense I guess. Wonder about starting vertical to use gravity to your advantage at first, and then switching to horizontal. So is the slug .33 meant for 1.1 grams? I thought it was 1 gram but I see you mentioned 1.1.

    Gear Slug .33 Rosin Forge

Looks like an amazing system. Has anyone tried pressing the slug vertically, applying heat more towards the front, or pressing ground material? Curious about the amount of experimentation the slug .33 provides.
