I did a quick wipe with ISO and then did 3-4 full burn offs with my newest Solo. Now I know OF and CK like starting out at temp 4-5 but I often do a first hit at 2 `cause the flavor is really nice at low temps. From there I`ll move up to 3 and 4, and eventually I`ll step up to 5 to finish up...
I picked up a second Solo recently and am really enjoying having two to work with...no more dealing with having to wait for charging!...
I find just a little water in my D020 gives me the best results!...
Up here in Canada we have a highly regulated supply system for Medical Cannabis. Government is throwing around terms like 'world class' with full legalization in the works...
Having said that I did a window box guerrilla grow last year and the quality of my Northern Lights is at least equal to...
Yup @CarolKing mentioned rocking the stem to control the Solo`s draw and I do it all the time now...helps me find the 'sweet spot' in the draw (just the right mix of air and vapor)...
I get a page full of videos to choose from with this link...is there one specific one you suggest?
You know for me it really comes down to subjectivity and what works for individuals. I`ve got some PK that is very rich in terpenes...I open the cure jar and it smells like lemon/lime (very...
Well in high school the term 'bong water drinker' was not one you would want to be known by, so I`ll leave that part of the science a mystery!...:p
I`m thinking that the volatile oils (THC ect) could condense in the cooler water even though they will not mix, but ultimately I have to default...
I thought the same before I got my first bubbler....Definitely the science would say that you`re losing vapor by filtering it through water BUT amazingly enough, I don`t feel that I need any more herb or hits per session to get the same effect as going it dry...
I always use a bubbler (or...
Keep us posted on how that goes. I haven`t had to buy a replacement battery yet but my 1 1/2 year old Solo will probably need one over the next few months, so I`ll be drawing on everyone`s experience on which is the best replacement...
Well I`m definitely in good company here....Just bought a second Solo to back up my 1st Solo that was being backed up by my FM V5 (which I rarely use now).
If I start booking tour dates and have to get out on the road I`ll probably bring them all!
Just a quick endorsement here but the Solo is...
Those look great...just like the ones I`m using but mine are double pointed...haven`t bought any in ages but I`ll have to check what the Dollar Store is stocking now (in terms of quality)...
The Amazon ones may be the way to go next time for me...
I`ve been using round wooden toothpicks for stirring for a long time now (the stronger ones). I like that I can empty a hot bowl without worrying about melting...and the wood will not damage the glass...
Excellent...can you post or send me that link? I just bought a second Solo to back up my old one, but the old one will need a new battery in a few months and I`m starting to look for my best deal on that...
Well yeah, FC is usually lots of playful fun (great for me to pop back in and re-discover)!
I started out with a very low tolerance after years of not medicating, so the screens were really just what I needed at first...
My tolerance is higher now so I may have to go full bowl/no screen at some...
Like @CarolKing often says, the Solo is so versatile you can set it up just the way you like it ('cause we`re all different)...
I really like rocking the stem to find the sweet spot in the draw...once you get to know the Solo it really starts to become clear (to me at least) just how great they...
I like using domed screens in my stems to cut down the size of the bowl by at least 1/3...helps the herb heat more evenly as well so I`m getting max efficiency out of about 1/16 of a gram load...
