I've wondered about these as well. I believe they are old-school for vaporizing old-school hash. I doubt that they would be more efficient than modern methods like a heated banger with a carb cap for modern cleaner hash like rosin...but I've still been curious to try one.

Every time I change something (like a different banger, different coil, different PID, etc...) I find whatever new temp setting now works best with that setup and go with that. Doesn't matter what the number is.

I'd also be worried about anything with water (like a hydrotube) sitting right on top of the unit, just in case some water blowback gets into the unit. Nothing is sealed. It's all open.
