@BuzzDanklin ordered it with next da Friday. Shows Miami as the origin. It s delivered today! Thanks!
Can't wait to get home from work and give it a run.
I find ground herb typically better. I tried no screens and it was not enjoyable due to the fact that I was picking herb out of my mouth. Plus my stem has flakes on the side from that one time I didn't use the screen.
I used to sandwich my herb in the solo with two screens.
When I use it now I pack a bowl and let the solo heat up on its side. The heat will cause the herb to get sticky and keep it from falling out of the stem.
Now I just use one screen to keep from inhaling my herbs.
honestly I'm not sure it would be great with only one hand. The only way to load it without dumping the load in the stem it's to hold the stem mostly upright, invert the unit and then insert. I would have a hard time doing that without the use of one of my hands.
As someone who owns a solo I'm going to put my 2 cents in....
Love my new solo. The wobbly stem sucked but an o ring fixed that. I love using it around the house, especially when I cook or am watching TV. I DON'T like it for when I hike as the glass stem is something else I have to worry about...
I have a ton of grinders but end up using the cheap plastic grinder that came from puff it up. The grind consistency didn't matter as much as the mflb. Heck, whole buds do pretty well in the solo too.
additioanly when inhaling do not seal your lips completely around the stem. Leave a little gap so air can be drawn in at the same time.
I have a short blackwood stem I received last week and it has been awesome for hikes and camping. I don't have to worry about the stem breaking or rolling...
1)I fold the screen in half so there is a crease, unfold then, using just my thumb and pointer fingers turn the screen into a small dish that holding my herbs. I then place a second domed screen on the top to keep herb from getting knocked into the heating chamber. it's basically a hamburger...
I feel like I've read a lot of this thread but must have missed this... just realized I can invert my solo and use it in conjuction with 14mm glass pieces. Works best with the angled stem. My hits ate so much smoother now and don't dry my throat.
Do your research next time. You picked the mflb, it requires a fine grind and dry herb. Would you buy a car that requires diesel and not use diesel?
There are other Vapes out there that require very little maintenance. Look at the pax and the solo. But as with anything electronic there are...
PM me your address. I got a pack of 5 from puff it up and can send you one via usps.
They were a little thick, I had to slice a small section off with an exacto knife to get the top to screw back on.
[8] Got the solo today and super excited to try it out. Did the 12 min first use step while I wolfed down dinner.
Used one bowl pack with a screen and very finely ground herb from my mflb finishing grinder. I used the bent stem and found that it did indeed swivel. I knew I got those orings for...
Is ed still making these stems? They aren't on his store. I want to get a wood stem for the mflb and the 3" Blackwood for the solo. They look so badass!
I jumped the gun and ordered it pretty much right after I posted here haha. I told myself I was going to wait a week but I saw that solo160 deal they have going on and didn't want to miss a sure discount. PIU sounds legit, I don't mind sending an extra $15 their way.
Now to keep trucking...
