Funny enough yesterday I was feeling curious and did exactly that. I'm not use to one hitters and such horizontal bowls with no carbs so I ended up dropping bits of herb and ash everywhere and stinking up a solo stem.
Thanks for the response. Do you find there to be any difference in quality or function when using glass beads and filler material instead of a packed bowl? I'm familiar with half packing the Pax oven and it was to me almost indistinguishable from a full oven other than fewer hits a pack.
I've...
How strongly does it smell in use and as an everyday carry? Is it big and heavy enough to unbalance and form a bulge in a suit jacket? Is it wasteful with herb? Can it take a few knocks and tumbles: scratches, unit failures, grass breakage? Is it a sharable party vape? Does the unit get...
Another thing to consider is the horrendous wait for some products to ship. Comments on grinders and the Arizer Extreme show waits can be as long as 3-5 weeks. Because of the tentative wait, I'd personally go with vapornation since they also include a bunch of accessories such as a grinder and...
I would assume you deal with DV since Massdrop is more a fundraiser than a normal retailer. I know the MFLB warranty is extraordinarily amazing but I dealt with MF rather than MD. Also, if your buying from CA there will be taxes since the company is based in Palo Alto.
Big news. The Ascent is on massdrop for 190 if it reached 30 buyers. When adding shipping but not factoring in tax, this is 10 less than the Vapornation + fc16 discount.

I think that if what the Grasshopper guys said is true, that they've uprooted their lives for this product, then they will pull of a decent vape. I've certainly sunk some dollars into them.
I loved the Pax, just a few things and the need for biweekly cleaning held it back for me and a bunch of...
I got you. Totally respect their culture and whatnot, it's partly mine (Guangzhou), but they have got to get use to this. There are students blazing outside our dorm window every few hours and they still care. Their just having a slight trouble acclimating to unpaved America.
Do you guys think it might be time for Ploom to consider an upgrade to the Pax? All these Fireflys, Indicas, and soon Grasshoppers, makes me think maybe Ploom can do better with current technology. Immediately thinking of: better battery life (even more so than its astounding number now)...
Dudes, I'm at Berkeley and my 3 International roomies from Shanghai are always talking behind my back about my vaping. I'm using a solo and mflb and blowing into a smokebuddy and somehow they still notice! Cops don't care though, just vape right in front of them to tease them.
The solo stem itself fits down the orbiter joint for a makeshift gong. It is a pretty precarious connection that you'll have to hold up but since you're using it like a slide, it works well.
Can't you lightly brush it with iso or burn it with a torch? The box is black already, but I suppose it could catch on fire. Is residue really a problem?
I'd buy it from you.
After using the Arizer Solo for about 2 weeks and demoing a mlfb, I've decided to come back to the Pax side (irony, not establishing an argumentative binary). I'm planning to get into tobacco vaping along with herbs and the Pax seems to have the best design for on the go use and stowing in pants...
Discovered that the water whip that comes with the Orbiter can be disassembled and that the glass joint can used as a nifty mouthpiece. That along with a Pax connected to the other whip makes a great combo.
They have such a great reputation that I'm sure they're just teething problems for a new product. Only the base needs modification and as Lazyidol said, the lifetime warranty on glass I will definitely find useful in the future.
Meek420, let us know if removing the screw is an option. I already...
I just received my Orbiter bubbler and parts are quite disappointing. The wooden and metal stand is overall very low quality. The wood part has several dents on the corners; the metal wire is very crooked, elevating the glass and tilting it towards the side - lowing the efficiency of the...
