One more thing to check since you added a new coil is to make sure the coil is not sliding up. If the herc resistance is good and the coil does not move, you should get clouds. After cleaning a SR 71, I usually get weak clouds until I start adding more buffer oil. Sometimes it seems like enough...
@Nube Scrutator, how is the kiss mini cartridge working for you? I was always interested in the Gentleman v2 oil cart but I never trusted the manufacture. Now w9 has a similar cart but with a much better wick. Not to mention I can trust w9. So does the kiss mini get hot during use? Do you cool...
To date I don't think anyone in this forum has built one except for a few. I tried, but that Ti wire is tough to work with. Not to mention the couplers. You need some sort of assist jig. Like the circuit board guys.
They both work the same. The only difference is heater rod placement. The top chamber on the sr74x is shorter. Also the original sr74 has a threaded top cap.
As little as you can or as much as you can. People all use the kiss differently. I like to load a dab size for a couple strong hits. My friends trow globs in the kiss and it works. Flavor suffers after a few hits. One of my friends treats the kiss cart like a hercules! Lol he throws about a .3...
From personal experience I like the Sony VTC5 over the LG. The VTC5 provided me with better results and consistency. Rumor has it that the VTC5 is back in production. Seems like the discontinued VTC5 rumor cause everyone to stock up ASAP. This ran the supply dry quick. Time will tell...
I actually do find the need to torch my Ti coils every other cleaning. After so many grams the coil "holds" residue. Black residue that won't go away with ISO. This happens even with the best oil. Torching the coil burns off this left over residue. Very light torching. The coil will be destroyed...
I don't submerge the bottom insulator in ISO. Everything else yes. I usually just wipe the bottom insulator. Also I don't see your Ti coil. U should clean that too.
Yup! This has been the method i use too. Loading per session is best for flavor. IMO the hardest part is making sure you don't vaporize the buffer oil or else you will be loading a lot of oil every session. Once you get the hang of it you notice when you are vaporizing the buffer oil.
Yes you need that stainless cap.
1. Yes submerge in ISO or boil in water. Your choice. I like the ISO method.
2. 7.4v white rod is best for beginner. Easier to learn and instant heat.
3. Drop at least .3 on top of coil. Push the button for a quick couple of seconds while inhaling. So this...
