Now I’m wondering about a sapphire donut or wafer to fit a sai. That would be so tite. There’s also some “cup jewel” shapes that look like small dishes.

I think my biggest problem with the spinning balls is that I try to pull harder than usual Just to get that “whizzing” super fast effect while dabbing, but that’s probably cooling down the bucket more than I want. To be more effective in retaining heat, it’s possible they just want to be rolled...
You pretty much nailed it. For me, it’s either one or mayybe two balls for smaller doses/spinning novelty, or a buncha beads for massive heat retention on larger doses.
Lol that was my concern about putting their info on here. I didn't know if this was gonna just be annoying for them to fill little orders but in the end it's supporting a small American business so I guess there's no harm? Thanks for the credit by the way.
That price seems fair. To me, it seems rather important that the holes are fairly small. I drilled a 5/64” hole and it seemed to be perfect after I filed the angle on it. The VRod’s original hole might even be a little too wide (it looks like maybe 3/32”) if there were to be two holes. My guess...
I guess when I tested with multiple beads, I stacked them in to fill a 20mm obsidian insert, so the walls held their heat relatively well. But the dab was eaten. I should try a single layer of beads, though. Thanks for pointing that out @Shooby
The stacked sapphire beads really are great for globs at low temps. I found that smaller dabs disappear in a not-so-ideal way, however. Uptemp tech with 1 or 2 spheres and an insert are most effective in my experience for stretching out smaller doses.
These spheres really bring dabs to the...
It really is incredible what a difference just one 5mm ruby sphere makes in the Vrod for dabs. Lower temps, bigger clouds!
I agree! If someone ever makes a glass Vrod cap that angled the holes to spin sapphires then take my money!
That would probably work perfect, since my two holes worked just fine to push the balls. It did open up the air path quite a bit so my temps had to be readjusted, which made me think maybe three holes would be too much open air and not enough restriction. That’s why these holes would need to be...
So I did an experiment with the Vrod cap, because I’m currently obsessed with spinning ruby spheres. My goal was to drill two more holes in an equilateral triangle formation (did not get the third hole drilled before getting eager to test it). I took a thin file to angle the holes to direct...
I can’t remember the individual prices, but they were really cheap compared to the CC and EQ prices. Six 5mm spheres + four 4mm spheres was just above the 50 minimum, I do remember that. They’ll send a pricing sheet if you email them. I called my order in and the guy was super nice.
Also, 5mm fits my 28mm dnail sic halo perfectly. Also fits my 25mm opaque core banger like a dream. That’s my favorite banger to use ruby beads in atm. 4mm seemed a little too small for any of my inserts/halos

Swiss jewel company has them in pretty much any size you want. Only thing is you need a $50 minimum order. Email for pricing. Super nice company and shipped them within a week.
