I have an unused smart outlet that I meant to try with one of my dogs. I tend to leave them at a 'standby' of about 6V, but having them off and just being able to turn them on from my phone before I leave work sounds pretty cool. Thanks for the reminder, I'd totally forgotten I had that outlet.

I've never had this happen. It was at your normal voltage? I don't think there are any components in the UD that could account for that, maybe the power supply (but a VVPS display would probably show some anomalous behaviour in that case).
