That's a pretty hefty set up! Illadelph had a decent selection of glass that can be configured to connect tubes and such. You're probably just looking for a plain old 14mm Tapered Glass Joint for the Easy Valve bag piece if you want to just put it through a water pipe after the bag is filled...
The vapor is still very hot, over 300 degF, and coolness effects the throatfeel a lot. Going through water at the source of the heat (thus adding maximum humidity), greatly reduces the temperature to under 150 defF as well.
We've had people put hot water in their Magma and Obsidian bubblers...
Dryness and Heat, combined, make the vapor a bit harsh on the throat and lungs. Added water relieves this.
It's not a standard joint size. We developed custom tapered joints to specifically fit the Easy Valve.
Let us know if you have any questions and/or are interested in what water in your...
We certainly do! I'll ship pretty much anywhere in the World, I don't think I've had anything that couldn't be reached yet :)
Good to hear! I'm sure you'll love what Magma does to the vapor if you find the regular vapor to be harsh, it's the whole reason I started doing this in the first place :)
Hi Arthritisbites,
To clean Obsidian you can soak it in ISO, or I like to use Grunge Off. Just an overnight soak in either, followed with a warm water rinse the next morning should get it to sparkling clean :) I'd be happy to provide some extra O-rings for you! Send me a pm and I'll find your...
Here’s some proof for you. I will say I don’t have perfect instruments; this was done with a Fluke 971 that is only rated to 95%RH and 159 degF. Volcano Classic on 9.

This is an added step that certainly helps, but it is not necessary! Simply holding the vents open (by placing the bag on the Herbal Chamber, or on Magma sans water) will air out any moisture that builds up. I'll be posting a video to address the moisturizing skepticism as well, but the fact...
Hey arb,
Not sure if you're still down to give it a shot, but if you want to preserve as much flavor as possible while still getting the benefits of conditioning, then use distilled water and only enough to cover the vents. That's how we've been told through feedback that works the best in...
Hi Vapinmofo,
I'll get together a video that shows the humidity increase, as that seems to be your biggest concern (lack of humidification due to humidification source volume). I don't ask you to take my word, but that of all the people who find Magma and Obsidian useful and testify to its...
Hi Vapinmofo,
Not asking you to do the science for me (because I have already done the explicit experiments, I already know the results), but to back up your claims. I have stated unequivocally that the relative humidity of the vapor is 100%, and the temperature decreases more than 100 degF...
Hi Arb,
Care to direct me to whomever is having warping issues? I'd like to get in touch with them and sort out any issues they are having. I haven't received any complaints about warping, but any kind of warping issues are not normal and I'd be happy to replace defective units free of charge...
Hey subway13029, I'm not sure if it's allowed (if not let me know and I'll take this post down!), but there's a lot of discussion on Magma and Obsidian over in the Volcano thread. As stated by one of the users in the Volcano thread: Volcano.
Do you have any particular questions that you would...
Hey FC,
I saw some interest in Magma and Obsidian pop up in the Volcano thread, so I figured I’d stop by to introduce myself and answer any questions you guys may have! The mods also suggested I start I thread here so that I can compile all your questions as a sort of encyclopedia of usage and...
Hey Guys!
Ryan from Magma Industries here. Just wanted to stop by, introduce myself, and say hello! Going forward I'll try and keep an eye on this thread and answer any questions/comments/concerns that you may have regarding Magma/Obsidian.
Cheers!
EDIT: The mods have suggested I make a...
