i got it runnin great again by backing it out all the way and then screwing it in 1/4 at a time till it worked right i was just wondering if thats suppossed to need adjustment periodically or if theres a way i can get it to stay in place

i think i have the newer button since it has the ptfe insert behind the button but im not sure what was different on the originals i just got this recently

is the gold screw in the button of the 8 suppossed to need adjustment alot mine seems ot go off at least once a day if im using it alot

i tried using the SS style bottom cap on the long tube for the exact same reason and it actually makes em too low but using it witht he batteries stickign up a bit isnt going to hurt it

could probably do it with a sander or bench grinder also just depends on what tools people have around i guess the pipe cutters just caught on

you can pick up a pipe cutter at home depot for less than 10$ think i paid a lil under 9 when i bought one recently for a project i was working on

just took a few monster hits off my sr71 and the 1/4 turn backwards seems to have solved the issue

i got the button assembly out but i cant get the teflon spacer to come out

yes it has the teflon spacer Edit: if you were serious about hot fingers i do tend to run pretty hot and transfer alot of heat normally to anything i hold onto

is it normal for the button on the 8 to get a little warm while using the herc?

Yea I ended up backing out the adjustable spring as much as possible then screwed in the bottom cap so that it touched the adjustable spring and raised it till the cap was secure and adjustment as low as physically possible

In order to fit the fuse in 7.4v on the 8 I had to lower the adjustable spring so low that it went back up when I put the bottom cap on but i guess it's better than not having it lol

Fry will lack the delta vape wave making it unique lol
