I've gone from cheap no name grinders to getting a Santa Cruz Shredder and loving it, until the teeth chipped and the refused to replace. In my search for a cheaper replacement I've gotten a medium SharepStone and a small Chromium Crusher that I really like (oddly hated my medium Chromium...
Looking for a recommendation for a new grinder. I have a SCS but the teeth seem to be chipping and SCS is giving me the run around so I'm not too big on getting another right now even though it was my favorite.
I vape most of the time but kind of hear the Space Case isn't the best grind for that.
If I'm not mistaken SSV sells something pretty much the same. I've been thinking of checking them out

I've always found the bowl of the Ascent to be near impossible to clean. I just tried the steam clean method that someone posted awhile back, I forgot how white the inside of that bowl actually is. Super thanks for posting that idea, it works incredibly well!
Further testing:
Preheat with the fan + fan level 1 to fill:
Cyclone bowl: zero thick milky bags. 2 that are more than whispy but not as good as I get on higher fan speeds. Then a few whispy bags.
F/f (DDave): one milky bag, one somewhere between milky and whispy, one really weak whispy bag.
I'm using 3 to fill the bags, I believe I tried all 3 setting (I know 2 and 3 for sure) and I found 3 gave the best results. Maybe I'll try again on 1 though just to be sure.
So I tested for science and using the elbow pack with the fan preheat:
F/f (DDave) adaptor: normal resutls here. One nice thick bag, one whispy one.
Cyclone bowl: 2 thick milky bags, 1 or 2 whispy bags.
So I'd say it worked but I still get better results from the cyclone bowl with the bags.
I find if I use the DDave with bags I just get one awesome milky one and then maybe if I'm lucky one whispy one. If I use the cyclone bowl I seem to get more.
I'll have to test both ways out with this fan heat trick.
Hmm I'll have to try that. I normally preheat but just by letting it set for 15-20 minutes. I'll try the fan out.
I've got 2 bags right now, I don't really notice any different results filling back to back like that, but it's nice not to have to wait until the bag is empty to refill.
Are you...
Elbow pack with a bag will normally get me 1 milky bag and 1-3 (depending on the stuff) whispy bags, on 380-410 f. I wish I got more thick vapor bags out of it.
I've had my Extreme Q for about 2 months now and I love it but I'm looking at some of the accessories now and looking for input.
I've got Silicone tubing on its way to me now and I've got the F/F adaptor.
I'm looking at the water pipe adaptors that 7th floor has, the solid colored one looks...
