With the mouthpiece on it fits IN an 18mm female joint with a gap to spare.
It fits neatly on a 14mm female with the mouthpiece, and will balance while you are inhaling. But not so much when you stop, unless precisely balanced.
I happen to know our very own @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd is working on a GonG...
It doesn't fit at all, simply falls in. More than an 1/8" gap.
I will work on some small load videos soon, perhaps one at 3.5 and one at 4.5 to see the difference.
Another video for you guys:
Finished the load in 2 hits at setting 4.5.
And a pic of the ABV next to some fresh:
The ABV looks darker in pictures as usual, just a very dark brown.
This particular strain I've been storing with the new 54% Boveda packs, so far I like them. May hurt the...
This is the one I'm using: http://www.amazon.com/D2-Rechargeable-Batteries-EdisonBright-converters/dp/B00LCHE1F0/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1440249614&sr=8-11&keywords=luc+charger
It's not the fastest, but that's better for your batteries.
There is definitely a difference in air flow, if you notice when I pull th GH away after the second hit the water shoots up the mouthpiece. I was pulling on it pretty good.
Draw restriction seems to be a product of the load volume, load a large bowl and it is a bit restrictive.
That's a good question, and I wish I had an answer for you. I'm not sure....
I may have swapped batteries between takes, 1 battery will do both loads plus more though.
More research is required.
I've put together another video.
A few more comments, more clouds.
The real cloud chasers will want to pay attention to the part starting around 4:40. :science:
Highlight: Finish a whole load in two hits.
In my experience it works but is not desirable for me, I get a denser vapor if a grind.
It may be just the ticket to someone else though, does provide great flavor.
This is how I use my Air, I never charge in the device. Nitecore D2 is my weapon of choice, but it is a slow charger at 500mA. Takes over 4 hours to fully charge a depleted cell. But I have 3 batteries so that isn't an issue.
A couple random thoughts about the Grasshopper after a couple days with it.
Small particles get past the mouthpiece screen, so using it dry results in these being consumed. Some won't notice this, but I am sensitive to particulates in my vapor. Another reason I use water filtration when...
Thanks!
More videos to come. There are only so many hours and only so much fine herb a person can vaporize in a day.
:)
I don't have a plain Ti unit to compare my color Ti too.
All 3 of my units came with a silicone mouthpiece, actually I got 1 extra.
I couldn't resist trying some bigger glass, on setting 5.
This isn't the best hit I got, just the best I got on video. :)
This was take 4, so I was feeling pretty good already.
As requested, demo of the Dark Gray Ti.
It's basically a hand held cloud machine.
Edit: The Flashing red lights at the end of the second hit appear to be the unit timing out, I counted 18 seconds from the time the lights turned blue.
I thought that only counted when you weren't hitting it?
