My thermostat doesn’t turn on right now.
On the backside of the TS pcb is a Silver, round disk attached: Ishtar the battery? Where does the battery belong?
Between the silver thing and the metal stand or where?
Thanks!
Thanks for all your info!
I read it a bit to lately so that’s what I am at right now:
- removed sv3 from stand
- removed thermostat (=TS)
- desoldered TS and added new wires
- I have to screw the TS module together again, will do this tomorrow
I used 2mm isolated wires. Is it safe to solder...
Can someone please tell me, or link me, how I can open up the sv3?
I have to replace the wires from the thermostat to the heat block
(They do not make proper contact at all right now)
@Dynavaper
I feel you, deciding between vapman and vapcap is hard.
To me the vapcap is more durable as it is quite likely that at some point one looses a screw / something breaks as wood is more fragile than ss or TI.
However right now I am in love with the Supreme v3 Single - it hits harder...
good to know. Do you happen to have measurements? (Else I will simply wait til you add it to your etsy (F5!))
Which wood is it / how did you make the "pattern"?
what would happen if I decided to use a vapcap M without the condensor tube? And would the effect / damage!? be worse if using a M with a wooden body without a condensor tube?
im just curious..
Happy birthday. !
From the pics you posted on page 17 it looked like the statin was rather deep: is the space inside used for storage compartments as well?
@biohacker how did you got in touch with the supreme guy? And the even more important question, how do I? i want a sv4 too.
@JCat awesome work! please keep us posted
dudes I could need help asap..
For some reason my sv3 temperature-meter stopped working. on closer inspection I saw that there are two wires: one is shielded in silicon and is fixed to the heating block.
The other wire isn't silicone-tubed and got disconnected. Where the hell does it belong...
@phattpiggie
"square of the switch butts up against the glass tube, O ring keeps it central.
A small piece of dowel is held on the plastic switch button with heat shrink.
Coil goes over the glass."
Do I use heatsink to fix the glass tube and button assembly to the coil?
I guess I’m somewhat well prepared with a BIG torch.
Thanks for the feedback!
I still have to figure out how to properly use it with glass
Do you use a a WT dry or with water in it?
I will look trough the thread later, once I’m at my pc.
Actually I already ordered all parts, and I’m just waiting on a few: however I figured I could start working on it already,
In the end it’s somewhat like
Coil, glass tube connected with shrink tubing, switch (with mentioned wood piece)...
How does it work agai: how do I have to connect the IH, the glass tube, and the tactile button?
And is it alright that the cap won’t even touch the coil itself ?
Would really appreciate guidance ...
In fact I use the 14mm reducer all the time, directly on the silicon-tubing of the dv3
@biohacker
What is your prefrrred temp for 0.1-0.05 bowls?
and: which is the best heating angle for the torch (45 degree?). There has to be some physician with science applied on it ;)
I didnt played around with the supreme enough..
however, from the two times I used it I went with a 18mm-14mm and the silicone-grommets.
works.
I am still learning how to use it tough.
