I routinely use 410-420F and the silicone sleeve gets warm but never uncomfortable...
You really only have one option...buy them all and start a quiver. They are all good, they all work extremely well, and all will get you where you want to be. Don’t overlook the other loggers (Alan with the HI and Ed from Ed’s TNT). And...if you have some skills, learn how to make your own logs...

Get one of these silicone sleeve condoms for your Pax and you will no longer care about your scratches...
I haven’t noticed any degradation of my o ring although it is silicone and can survive an iso bath. It’s easy to remove the o ring and clean it by hand while the metal oven soaks in your iso container. I’m still on my first o ring after having it for a year.
The lid should not be sticking unless...
Separate the metal oven from the plastic base and place the metal oven into a small container of iso alcohol and let it soak a bit. The lid should come right off.
Yes...never fill the concentrate oven to the brim...only small amounts.
And always keep it upright.
Gooey fluids always behave better if kept in their gooey cups.
You’re welcome.
Enjoy the concentrate cup, just don’t overload it and don’t lay your Pax down on its side when using concentrates...
One additional tip, when using flowers in your Pax, pack your load tightly and not loose.
I’m a big log fan that also has an OG Solo from 2011...you can’t go wrong with a log. You can’t go wrong with a Solo either...
2 totally different vapes...The Solo cooks the load so I do the entire bowl in one session. I don’t take the bowl out of the oven during the session. You can put as much...
There is a little spring loaded plastic pin that fits into the little dimple on the aluminum oven to hold it in place. Mine holds it steady pretty well although it is very easy to slide it out of the base to clean it. If yours doesn’t stay in place, then let Pax service know.
I don’t care much about what temperature I’m vaping at because my log vapes do not have a temperature readout on them. I care about what voltage works for me to get me where I want to go...
So, using that as a concept, it doesn’t really matter what your temperature readout says on your vape...
I agree 100% about using a flux brush but I trim the end of flux brush by about 70% or so with a pair of sharp scissors...It makes the brush stiffer so you can sweep the screen better and be able to get in the corners and move the kief around...
I have the silicone adapter which uses the raised mouthpiece on the Pax and it works very nicely. I also suffer from a bad case of AGD syndrome (Ataxian Glass Destruction Syndrome) where all I have to do is look at glass and it breaks...So...I haven’t bought the glass adapter simply out of...

Get this silicone sleeve to protect your shiny Pax 3. I’ve got one on mine and it’s kind of like having a wet suit on the Pax. It does cover the shine so you can’t see it...
And, it adds an insulation layer when running at higher...
