Reminds me of latin class:
Pax vobiscum - peace be with you
In latin pax means peace, but I prefer (and live by) Pax be with you
(my username is a riff on the plural of Pax in latin)
I picked one up on massdrop. Not sure when it will ship, but I'll post my thoughts when it arrives.
I'm going into it with low expectations, and got it as a throwaway/loaner for friends. I figured even if it isn't that great, it might be handy to have a vape that I can loan to friends instead...
Got mine on Saturday, wanted to spend some time with it before posting.
Really enjoying it. Love the feel of it, love the function of it. I was looking forward to the improvements, but I am digging this much more than I expected.
Most of my observations about the Pax 2 have already been...

Not sure how it will go with the Pax 2, but they made some changes to the original Pax during the first year or so after release. They changed the mouthpiece (actually the ring around the metal stem), they changed the finish/texture, and they also changed the software (games/party modes). There...
I bought this a few months ago on Massdrop for $125. I used it a few times, but just prefer my other vapes. Comes with everything in great condition.
Not sure if serial numbers matter on these, but it is M1T0807387.
$60 shipped to the continental US. Paypal payments please.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean it offers both a lower and a higher temp than the Pax? Pretty cool.
(I think the original is a 370-410 range, but I could be wrong)
@VapeM0m
I don't know if you've been reading the Pax 2 thread, but this was posted by one of the guys from Pax Labs to a member in Scotland:
"We have recently regained the rights to sell internationally and are hoping to be in retailers in your area by this summer, and have online...
I read an article about the company that mentions that there have been some big changes behind the scenes. I don't know about Europe specifically, but it sounds like they will be expanding beyond the US with their products soon.
Here is an excerpt:
The company that designed the device is now...
The warranty on the Pax 2 is ten years.
Their long warranty is definitely a factor in the price they charge.
I love knowing that ten years from now I'll still be using a device I paid for in 2015. To me that is worth a lot considering how flaky some units can be (especially as an early adopter).
I'm sure some would disagree, but from my experience my conduction vapes work best with a fine grind. I always use a very fine grind in my Pax, MFLB, & Alfa, but a medium grind in my convection vapes. I use almost a sand consistency in the Alfa. I use the Magic Flight finishing grinder for the...
Welcome Pax guys. Can't wait to get my Pax 2, April 2 can't come fast enough.
Question about charging: It mentions a USB plug, but it doesn't look like it comes with a wall outlet plug. Pakalolo mentioned that you can use the original Pax plug with the new cradle and it would also charge faster...
Just pre-ordered one.
I love the original and I like the sounds of the changes. The smaller oven, reduced cooking of material, and taste preservation sound great. Glad to hear Pak is getting even cooking without stirring too.
Add to that the temp switch change and mouthpiece switch, and I've...
I got my warranty replacement Alfa from Gotvape on Saturday, exactly two weeks after I shipped it back.
They actually had it for over a week before they shipped me a new one. They promised to ship a new one immediately upon receipt of mine because it was a known defect that couldn't be fixed...
Yeah, the guy at GotVape said there were two problems with the original ones, a software glitch that made it think it was overheating so the unit won't heat up, and also a heater issue. He didn't specify exactly what the heater issue was.
He also said that both issues had been addressed by...
Unfortunately I have some bad news to report:
While heating up the light started flashing red (it had been green, not amber while heating up). The flashing red light would not go away even when the dial was turned to off. After a few minutes it stopped flashing red, and no lights would come on...
I had the same symptoms on 2 of my Paxes. Purple light would come on, no heat was produced.
Both times when I sent the units back for warranty, they sent me entirely new Paxes. I'm not sure if it's because the repair is impossible or just too costly, but Ploom sends out new units instead of...
Just wanted to go on the record as saying that I received my Alfa the Monday after Thanksgiving. It has been used every day since, and has worked perfectly and never skipped a beat.
There have been reports of problems, but I'm sure there are lots of owners like myself who haven't said much...
