I finally got my ceramic project back from the kiln. I was intending on it to be 18mm, but it shrank more than I expected. Not a major problem as it works perfectly with 14mm and a silicone adapter. I'm super pleased with how it turned out.

I have that 18mm SAML straight fab that you guys were talking about. With the water at the proper level it's more restricted than I like for a dab rig. If you put the water level low and it becomes a lot less restricted and better for dabs in my opinion, but the swiss perc becomes nonfunctional...

For Christmas someone got me a weed pipe pottery kit. You make it at home and bring it in to get fired. I don't claim to be a good artist but I think it should be functional. If the joint ends up being bad I can use a silicone 14-18mm adapter for a better seal.

Yeah that's true. There's the risk of accidentally pushing the screen all the way in. Could be avoided by using a low profile 18/14mm adapter as a bowl. I'll have to try it out.

I wonder if the xeric (or any j-hook)would be any good putting a screen directly in the joint and using it as an 18mm injector bowl. Seems like it would be nice ergonomically with a 18mm wireless ball vape. Definitely would make it worse to clean.

The injector bowl gets pretty hot but the j-hook itself is fine. There's definitely some burn risk with your hand that close to the omega. I like to set the temperature quite low when using it on the j-hook. The cooling is good in my opinion but it's still a bit harsh hit if you try to rip it...

Now that I know I like j-hooks I have my eye on the xeric as well. It's a good price but it's still more than I usually spend. I'm spoiled by cheap dhgate stuff. That looks so cool with the lotus.
