I don't think that question is "armchair micromanaging" in the least. How is it second guessing? I have the same question. A rough estimate of expected shipping time is something I would like to know if I am to put $250 or more down for something. If their website allows you to purchase...
I had all but given up for today, but a late delivery. :D
My initial impressions are :D! I like it! I fugin' like it!
Put the 2 batteries that came with it on the charger and threw in an old laptop
3.7V battery I salvaged that I use for my flashlights. I didn't even look at the instructions...
I have been using the Pax supplied wall charger plugged into a converter that is powered by the 12V system in my vehicle. More than capable of charging the Pax.
quote "2. No, it's internal, and heats up the metal at the bottom of the oven (however, the tube does get hot)."

Actually, it doesn't heat up the bottom of the oven. The heat is applied around the circumference of the oven and then transfers to the bottom as well.
Mine has come out as well. I hadn't taken it apart. I've contacted Ploom and they said to contact Vapeworld to have it repaired or replaced. Support said it was not advisable to continue using it without the seal.
I'm currently waiting to hear back from Vapeworld on how to proceed.

Don't know how good this can be in the long run:

The best back up vape for the Pax is a second Pax. No joke.
I have two, one is always ready to go.
ATTENTION Pax users with heating issues! Useful info in the following post!
From a design aspect, I love Ploom using a mechanical mouthpiece switch and think the Pax is wonderfully...

I picked up my onyx Pax at Hempfest in Seattle the other weekend from the Vapeworld booth. (they had 4 booths there) They had a few cases of them at each booth in all 3 colors selling for $250 each.
Spoke to Aaron there who told me about this oven door tip. Says they were all sitting around...
Thanks for looking.
I guess they must have stopped giving out the discount code. Haven't ordered anything from them in about 7 or 8 months, but they have given me a 10% off code with the order confirmation every time I have placed an order before.
Moneycheeba or JDSupreme
Any chance of getting your 10% off code from your order confirmation email from Vaporstore (at the bottom) if you are not using it? Would like to order one as well. Please PM me.
Thanks.
Yes, you can put it back in the egg case right away after using it. I do it all the time. I've had a few hits and sometimes come back to the same bowl days later and hit it more. It's amazing how many hits you can get off one bowl - an easy dozen if you heat it just enough to vaporize each time...

Something like you show here would be perfect. I would prefer the tubing to be shorter, but still flexible. (One can make it any length prefered) Would not have a breakage problem. Actually, you can just make it with the new stainless fitting from a new or broken Iolite stainless mouth piece...
Received mine today. Have to admit I wasn't expecting to add to the glowing reviews of this thing, but... is tru mon. Is tru. :D
I actually think I will probably order a second for a spare just in case they stop making them. :peace:
