What kind of box mods are you guys using with the DT 2.5? I've got the iStick TC 40W and I'm not wild about it firing 40W only in TC mode. Any suggestions for a mod which will allow me to set temp and wattage? Maybe something smaller than the mini invader? Thanks!
I have a full shopping cart on their site and I'm ready to check out. Are you saying I won't be able to complete my transaction or that they are selling products not manufactured by W9? Thanks!
I have the eLeaf iStick 40wTC, and I find I would benefit from having a box mod which allowed me to set the max voltage/wattage in TC mode. I set mine to 310*F, but it initially fires with all 40W. It results in blackened material on the donut. I am going to check out the IPV4s next...
As I understand dielectric breakdown (from a google search) it would actually cause the resistence to decrease, not increase. I'm no expert, so please let me know if I've got it wrong.
To be clear, I'm not talking about a rise in resistance during use, which is to be expected and is actually essential to the operation of temp control. My atomizer's cold resistance is what is increasing. For the first couple if weeks, it would read 0.78Ω when cold, now it reads 1.05Ω.
Has anyone else experienced resistance change on their atomizer? My 2.5 donut started out at 0.78Ω, but now it reads (consistently) 1.05Ω. Is this normal? These readings are from my eLeaf iStick TC 40W, as I do not have a stand alone resistance meter.
Thanks!
I cleaned at 16w as suggested by Matt, and I was able to get it mostly white. The donut only heats at two points (call it 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock) so I was left with a small smudge at 3 o'clock.
This atomizer seems to waste quite a bit of material. Maybe the version 3 needs to use a plate rather than a donut, so there's nowhere for melted but not vaporized product to go and hide.

Got it, thanks for the explanation.
On the topic of cleaning: how often does everyone superheat the atomizer and burn the old oil off the donut? I've done this once, and the amount of smoke that is produced really highlights how much waste there is with this atomizer. Is there a way to...
