No offense but I think you are.. Any harshness you feel could be from the vapor being too warm to be comfortable. If you use the whip for a few weeks that will stop happening, or if you use a water pipe it will cool it sufficiently. You admit to seeing green left and no longer getting vapor? How...
Idk.. I dont leave anything on when I go to sleep usually. But now that I just checked, the red light indicating power goes out on minimum power.. and that would be a big issue on it's own if it didnt to be honest haha. I have blacked out all LEDs in my apartment that remain on at night time...
Haha I employ this technique to restart my router everyday since it is in my landlords part of the house, and it needs a restart or gets laggy after a couple days.
And for the lights on my reptile enclosures.. Maybe I should plug my SSV into the reptile timer, that's basically on all day...
Thanks, good to know.
Well, I read somewhere (this could be 100% BS just repeating it here) that inhaling charcoal dust or something could cause black lung disease, something miners get. I have no idea if this would happen if you vaped it, or how much you have to inhale (miners probably...
Third this. I just bought an LSV and I was looking for several of the same things in a vape as yourself. I got the SSV as my first, LSV is essentially the same but more portable, and its pretty much all glass air path (aside from ceramic heater and metal screen for herbs). It is a powerful vape...
Thanks for sHARIng that link, actually sounds awesome.. Can anyone comment on possible risks with mixing activated charcoal/carbon into the oil? And how do you filter out the charcoal, is a cofee filter able to do that completely?
Hey, for about 6 months of owning my SSV, I have always shut it off after use. How safe would you say it is to leave on all the time?
Sounds like you've clearly done it, what's the highest temp you would recommend for all day? How hot is min temp when you go to bed?
Could it melt something or...
Or, if not, I recently found Mason Jars on sale at a hardware store for 3-5$ depending on size. They came in cases of 12 exactly as SSVUN described I believe, with several sizes. I use 12 or so small Mason jars (smallest) and each one can hold about a 1/4 of a different Herb. The cardboard...
I use my SSV (same heating system as LSV essentially) with 9 different glass pipes of varying sizes and joint sizes. Several require higher/lower temps than normal to draw at my preferred speed. Depends on the pieces drag. Have fun with it!
IDK, thought it sounded like you have a working 18mm bowl that you ordered with the 14mm one.
And your dilemna is you have a 14mm female connection that you wish to use on the road trip. but the 14mm WPA is no good.
So I thought using an adapter to make the female joint 18mm and thus...
a Male-Male adapter can be fashioned into a WPA from what I understand. in your case I think you need a 14mm Male-18mm Male, and you can put a screen in there, and the 18mm male will connect with the LSV.
Alternative is a joint expander, it is a 14mm Male to 18mm female, like 20$ at a LHS.
or...
I was comparing my grinders to ebay grinders, as a way of saying no they are not of the same quality.
Not comparing them to a mendo mulcher or SCS because I have never even held one.
My thoughts were more along the lines of after heating the glass, anything cold that touches it may cause it to crack. Ground glass joints crack pretty easily sometimes.
In the past I would've disagreed, the volcano for example was (and still is) around for years -- therefore a top of the line device like the sublimator has the potential to remain top of the line for years to come.
But, it definitely seems like a lot of new things are coming out as dabbing and...
First of all, there have been mentions of glass joints sticking if you leave the unit in the bong to heat (confirm? Pretty sure I read that in this thread), this could potentially lead to cracks.
Secondly, a stand could be designed that could better enclose the unit greatly increasing heat up...
Haha, well as they say to each their own. If you use the sublimator responsibly you will absolutely get as much enjoyment out of it as anyone with a future model, your correct there.
Still, I am interested to know if Enrico or PV could shed some light on my question, it may be something other...
