Not sure if this helps or not but I put a bit of organic cotton in the stem first before adding my herb. It's great for 'microdosing' and seems to work very well; even with weed that is a bit damp. Not sure if the cotton helps wick away moisture or not but I never have to stir. ...just a thought.
